Be willing to work at it and expect a great outcome.
First of all let me just say right up front. I am 72yrs old and yes I have used this product and my review is my honest opinion. No one has offered me anything for my opinion and I do not have an agenda for giving my option. It is honest and true. That being said I will tell anyone who wants to know. I have read some of the positive and some of the negative reviews. Ther is a lot of truth in both. Except where someone who has been lazy and down right negative from the start. Does this product have a strong odor? Yes yes yes it definitely does. Is this product easy to use? Let me say this. If you are afraid of a little hard work and just plain lazy you need to look else where. But if you want a nice looking clean looking outcome and dont mind the work then this is your product. I have just finished my second tub unit. First I researched this product throughly last year before Thanksgiving. I have a own ŵhouse that was built in 1986 that was my mom's. It's mine now. I have done a lot of work in it and wanted to do something in the bathroom with the fixtures. The tub unit was original the toilet and sink had been replaced with white. The tub was that brown color and was faded looking. I didn't want the expense to replace it so I looked at options. That's how I found the Rustoleum tub and tile gloss white finish. The price was right and I was willing to get my hands dirty and work hard. Let me just say right here. A negative mind produces a negative out come. ALWAYS. I was skeptical to say the least. Do I expect this to be a job that will last 50yrs? No i do not. Do I expect this finish to look like a factory produced new unit? No I donot. Now right down to the truth. Starting out with a dark color going to an expected white finish I knew was going to be a.challenge to begin with. If at all possible. I am not a professional painter nor a contractor of any kind. With the cost roughly around $50 how could go wrong. Let me say yes there is a very strong odor. I used a respiratory and highly recommend using one. The first coat is just a base coat. DO NOT keep going over the same area . It will get tacky and not do well. Start with a thin coat and move on. Don't linger and waste time. If you don't have a couple hours to devote to this project do not start it. Cover with the base coat. Don't expect great coverage to begin with. Wait at least one hour before a second coat. Do expect there to be some minor streaks. If you encounter bumps and little specks then after that first hour lightly use a t least a 220 grit sand paper. This is not a job for the lazy. Continue with the second coat. Do not work slowly. Take the time to work with it but do not keep going over the same area. The product self levels as time goes on. I used three -four coats. DO NOT use a foam roller whatsoever!! It will come desolve and come apart melt if you will. I made.this mistake . I changed to another type 1/4 in nap. And finished allowing it to dry. After Christmas I used 220 grit WET sanded it and applied another coat this week. It is a very nice finish. Yes it does have a texture to the finish. Some have referred to as orange peel. That is true but ok in my book. I don't know how this product will hold up over the ⁴long haul but listen it looks very nice I am happy with it and my friend had me just finish her tub yesterday. Long story short. Would I recommend this product....if you are not afraid of a little work and willing to have a positive attitude and realistic expectations then go for it. I can't speak of how long this product will hold up over the.long haul but if it lasts for a few years it will be well worth the money. I can always do it again. And not have spent thousands for a new tub. But in my opinion I do have a.new tub. Thanks for your time. Now go do some work and get yourself a great looking clean tub..and get over the fear of the fumes.

Work fast and be prepared
Standard shower and tub you will definitely need at minimum two boxes to cover fully. I went from almond to white and I probably could have used one more box. The foam rollers will literally falling apart after 2-3 minutes of using. The expoxy gets thick as it sets up and will eat away at the roller. I went through so many foam rollers and beware if you don’t change them fast enough you will get little foam bits that start to stick to the surface. I tried to use a regular paint brush but that was a quick no as the brush leaves streaks. You gotta move fast. Overall, this is a great way to update on a budget. I even patched some cracked areas before with epoxy welding putty the paint coated and covered very well.

Solid product for a fellow DIYer, but SO SMELLY
I think it’s honestly great for a DIY product. It recommended to do two coats but I ended up doing three, because two wasn’t the full coverage that I wanted. Let me just say that DO NOT take the warning labels with a grain of salt. The fumes are SO STRONG. A respirator is an ABSOLUTE MUST. It’ll make your whole house stink like chemicals. I’ve had windows open and fans going all day and it had calmed a bit, but not as much as I had hoped. But considering the fact that this was like $40 and I didn’t have to buy a whole new tub, I’ll deal with the smell for a few days. I’m curious to see how it’s going to hold up over time.

Covered Blue!
All in all this product did what it needed to do. Was tired of the blue and decided to switch up the color. Like many other reviews mention; the scent is STRONG - very strong. We ended up needing to tape off the bathroom door to avoid the smell going out into the living room, but after a few days it starts to go away. I did end up needing 1.5 boxes to get a full cover/very white look, but it was well worth it. The paint does look a bit watery when you mix everything, but once it goes on it thickens up. It does also get sticky pretty quickly so it’s best to fix any imperfections in that moment rather than going back and fixing later. For sure needs to dry a full 72 hours+ before using, but after that it’s good to go. I get a little faint smell sometimes of the chemicals here and there when in the bath or shower, but it’s not sherry strong and goes away. It would be nice if the container was a little bigger for the price you pay, but all in all would highly recommend.

Smells awful and be patient
As others have said, this stuff smells awful. You'll want to wear a respirator. Otherwise, the instructions are straight forward and easy to follow. The mix feels plastic-like once you mix the compounds, and it can be difficult to smooth it over rough edges. Be sure to take your time! It has held up over a year and was easy to coat with a spray finish. I will never resurface a sink countertop again, but if I had to, I would use this again.

No more little prison bathroom!
My bathroom felt like a prison bathroom and needed a major makeover. So I *properly* repaired some tiles near the tub (bc my NY Slumlord thought a 12x12 floor tile was a great replacement). Then I used this all over my bathroom tiles to tie them in. I just love how it cleaned up my space. I painted the walls white as well and now the tiny room feels brighter and more spacious.

Good, but with limitations
It works, but beware - the finish isn't flexible. Which means, if your underlying shower or bath flexes (like most plastic shower cabins), the surface will crack and eventually peel off.

Super simple and so worth it!!
Used this to refinish an ugly yellow tub and the outcome was amazing. It was so easy to do and transformed the tub it looks brand new. This product dries fast so the process was super quick and the price compared to buying a new tub is so worth it. Only downfall is the fumes are insane definitely need to plan on not staying home for the day and don’t use around pets or children. Definitely recommend using a mask. See the before and after attached!!
