On first impressions, this is great. Lovely design, looks very modern, feels very sturdy. I plugged it in, it paired immediately with my phone and I was very impressed. I played a few songs through Bluetooth from my phone and then tried it with the inbuilt SD card reader, I was happy.However, over the next few days on the way to work and back, a few issues started to creep up that weren't immediately obvious. They were :1) The inbuilt player from the SD card distorts anything that is even close to loud. This isn't something that can be solved by turning the volume down. Anyone who knows audio will recognise the sound of clipping and this wildly clips anything that has had heavy compression applied. As a point of reference, I tried Oasis' album "What's The Story Morning Glory" that was famed back in the 90s for being massively compressed, it was unlistenable, distorted, clipped, horrible. It's fine for quiet ballads, but forget it for heavy rock. I tried tuning to different FM channels, but nothing could solve this.2) The range that it transmits on is very wide... when you set it (for example) to transmit on 100.0FM, it blanks out and overpowers everything from 97 up to 103 FM, a 6Mhz band. This means that you can't leave it permanently plugged in and tune it to a blank spot on your radio because you won't find a blank spot that's anywhere near big enough. Which leads me to...3) Not a fault of this product, but of FM transmitters in general - as you drive around (which you tend to do in a car), you'll pick up other radio stations that share the frequency that you've selected, meaning you'll get interference and need to re-tune. Maybe OK if you're only travelling a mile or two, but my 25 minute drive to work and back meant me changing the frequency 2 or 3 times.4) It wouldn't reliably stay connected in the cigarette lighter socket. A major bump, or sometimes even me touching the buttons to skip to the next track would dislodge it and cause it to reset, redo the "pairing" procedure and start the song again. This may be a problem with my car rather than this product, but it doesn't happen with other USB chargers I have.5) The manual is poor. I eventually worked out on day 3 how to set the tracks to random (hold down the left button) by trial and error.Overall, the idea is good, it looks great and I'm probably being mean, but it didn't perform as I expected it to. I've sent it back for a refund.

Okay! It does the job albeit with a dreadful background buzzing noise in my van, but when transmitting the voice of the caller I can hear them loud and clear and no-one has complained that they can't hear me. This could just be an issue with my van though as when I used it my wife's car I did not have this problem. The other features are a bonus (SD card, USB charging port, etc:)Very easy to set up and use.I would have rated 5 stars if it wasn't for the irritating buzzing in the background.

Does well and works perfectly, allows older cars to listen to music, and even answer calls and speak.4/5 as when the transmitter is on but not on the channel and listening to another radio station, it seems to after the radio's quality until it's turned off. Something that is a pain when I have it plugged into a multi-socket in a compartment out of sight.

Sound is ok, it works well but have to faff around for a while tuning into the station, no caller id available so not clear who is calling. I used it mostly in the end for music as it was not that easy to call from. The reason for the low star rating is that it is very flimsy and the neck started to become lose within just the first few months of using it. It has now completely come off the plug adapter part and is in two pieces. I would invest more and get a better quality item. The neck is handy for awkward spaces/plug holes however is not strong nor durable, sadly.

Received this item fast as a present for my hubby. He set it up easily and it works great playing music from his phone, no problems and had for a few weeks now with no real issues.

This Bluetooth transmitter is better than the ones I have used before,would of been nice to have had a usb port,also when charging a phone when driving it charges slowly,but all in all a good piece of kit.

ducks in and out of signal. Nice concept, just a shame it is not more reliable
