this works great. there is a slight learning curve but once you use it things go pretty fast

I did about a dozen crimps and I was brand new to it. It couldn’t have been easier. All cables passed the test and are transmitting expected speeds, even POE worked. All crimps worked the first time!Pass through is the way to go. You can get a nice handful of straight wires instead of a cm. So much easier to work with from the videos I’ve seen of the old way…

Great kit. I get these for all my Networking students. Only thing you need to add are good wire scissors. The wire tester is very low end, and does provide a good wire map. The crimpers are easily worth twice the cost of the kit. These are great crimpers. GREAT!!!

Excellent crimper fast shipping

I actually ended up with two of these after contacting the company after a high percentage of failed crimps. I now have two working crimpers. The problems that I experienced were 100% due to the poor tolerances of the pass through connectors included in the set. I ended up buying from Amazon some VCELINK RJ45 Cat5e Cat5 Pass Through Connectors that resulted in 100% good crimps.I followed up with Therathy to let them know how I resolved my issues. Therathy may have already shifted to a new supplier for their connectors, but, if they haven't, pick up some alternate pass-through connectors to enjoy a better experience. The Therathy crimper and the other tools in the set all work very well!BTW, my 5 star rating is for the tool itself. Striping and organizing the strands of wire in a CAT cable is somewhat time consuming regardless of the tool used.

You honestly can’t beat this value. Admittedly, not all the parts are made of the best quality, but everything does what it needs to do. The crimper works great, the pass through is exactly what I needed, and the kit even comes w a power tester. If I were to buy all the components separately at Menards, it would’ve cost me 4x as much, and they didn’t even carry the pass through option for the crimper.Def would recommend.

Best if you cut your own wire and test it. Make to length you want and plug-in!!If you don’t do this for a living you’ll have to get use to making your own cat cables. Still worth it in my opinion and in the name of keeping things neat.
