This is my 5th one
I have been buying these Dashcams since 2016. A new one for each new car. Last time it was a DR750 and this time that has been replaced by the DR770. I suggest you buy the size SD card you want and don't buy a small card thinking you will buy a cheaper bigger SD card afterwards. Even the name brand cards seem to fail after a few years. The one that comes with it runs forever it seems. In one of my cars I have it on constant power so it runs 24/7 and has been running for 5 years that way without an issue. I find the configuration to be easy and the app is easy to use. I don't wire it like they show. I find power up by the mirror and I don't use their fuses and I connect both the constant power and the switch power together and it works fine as both powers are not available at the mirror usually. I am only saying all this to say no matter how you connect it, it works great.

As expected
I had an old blackvue cam which power cord didn't fit. I had to run the new one. The cord is thicker than it was before; therefore, it is harder to make it straight when running it with the sticking pads.Connecting to my Android 12 happened to be more complicated that I thought it'd be. I figured it out that I needed to "forget" its wifi name in order to make connections through the app smooth. Changing its default wifi name also took some time and several attempts. I don't know why it didn't want to apply the new wifi password and name.If the phone is connected to the car's wifi infotainment system connecting to the dashcam will require disconnecting from it first or it will require two attempts in the app to connect. Once connected everything is smooth.

Easy Install, Decent App, Good Motion Detection When Parked
Amazon keeps deleting my reviews when I inlcude pictures (I don't know why), so I'll add those in a few days once this is approved.I'll try and keep this short and sweet:-Their app (BlackVue) works pretty well on Android. The camrea broadcasts it's own wifi network and I was able to use the app to connect to it, change settings, and download a video. I haven't had any bugs or crashes yet, but it is pretty simple overall-Videos take forever to download via the app, it's easier to pull the memory card and just grab the /mp4 file off of there. You lose the map/GPS info, but it still has your GPS speed (mph) in the bottom of the video, along with the timestamp, etc.-Construction is pretty plastic-y and it feels a bit light. But, once it's installed, you're not messing with it, so no big deal-I tapped into an always on 12V and a "on whe the car is on" 12V going to my rearview mirros and wired the camera to that. It does come with a cigar lighter plug/adapter if you won't want to wire it in liek that-With it hardwired to the car, I have it set to record motion for the first hour after the car is parked. Works fine, haven't had issues-It has a setting for a low voltage cutoff where it'll turn itself off so it doesn't drain your battery too much. You can adjust at what voltage level that happens-It draws a little under 3W of power when on-Picture quality is decent. You can read th elicense plate of the car in front of you at a stop light, but it's a little distorted at the edges, so even one lane over is hard to read clearly. Once the car is a ways out, the license plate is pretty tiny and hard to read-The camera beeps when it thinks it sense an impact to let you know it's locking the video clip. It does happen if you hit a pothole just right. Manual says it'll save ~50 of those clips before it starts overwriting them-- though the included memory card can store multiple hundreds of "norma;" 1 minute clips as you drive.-Picture quality at night is decent, it doesn't get totally blinded out by streetlights or oncoming headlightsMy only complaint:-I get a lot of glare on the inside of my windshield I need to sort out. In the sun you can see a ghost reflection of my dashboard in the picture and at night you can see every speck of dust I didn't clean off. That's not the camera's fault, but it is something I didn't anticipate.Overall, this works well, was easy to install, and the app isn't difficult to use. The picture quality won't necessarily grab a license plate in a hit and run incident, but it is absolutely adequate to prove your side in a he-said-she-said incident when the other guy is claiming you rana red light, were tailgating, swerving, whatever. It's basically 2015 cell phone quality videos. You aren't going to frame a screenshot and hang it on the wall, but it's still fantastic at documenting what is going on.

Not what it’s cracked up to be
Not what it’s cracked up to be, I don’t know where the 5 star review’s come from apparently those people didn’t pay $230.00 for the camera. Installation is not difficult and build quality appears to be good, connectivity seems to be the problem if you don’t pay for the cloud service don’t expect to see much from the camera unless you remove SD card the wifi connection isn’t that hot either. Video quality is average don’t expect to read license plates and I’ve cleaned lens, windshield and covered dashboard to remove reflection to achieve only a slight improvement. A week after purchase price dropped $37.00 take that for what it worth. Perhaps for some people this camera is worth the money but not for me.

A Dashcam built and designed to interact with mobile phones and the cloud
I’ve owned a variety of dashcams over the years, but this is generations ahead of anything I’ve ever had. This is designed to be integrated with the cloud and with a smartphone. Add on LTE to the dashcam (available option) or if you have wifi built-in to your car, this provides an incredible solution packed with features. Here are a few features that I’ve benefited from:-live map view of where my vehicle is-I can even watch the dashcam from my phone if it’s connected to the internet!-Quick and easy way to download video to my phone-Automatic uploading of videos where there is a detected impact (this might only be if my phone is in the car)-All these feature do not require a paid subscriptionHere are a few issues I’ve had-The impact sensing is not programmed well. I have the driving impact on 1 of 10 and it still warns on impacts while hitting bumps.-I keep needing to login to the app -- hopefully that will improve over time (current Apple App reviews should strong dissatisfaction with the app as of April 2023)Overall, I’m very impressed so far.

Update ruined it
Requires an app with an account to pull footage after a recent update. You used to not need an account

Works Great ~ Easy to Install
This is a great little HD Dashcam that works flawlessly. Set up was very easy ... after powering the dashcam I easily connected to the APP and followed the instructions which were very clear. Paired easily.Looks sleek and has a lot of features .... an optional LTE Module is needed to use some of the features so be sure to read everything.Would highly recommend. 5 STARS
