Q: Are the eyes on Vader shaded red like they should be? Also looks like the helmet protudes out in the front more than it should?

The shade of the lenses are a little hard to explain, but it's like a dull maroonish color, almost smoke colored if that makes sense. And yes, the front of the helmet is more in the style of the new Star Wars Rebels animated series, so it's different than the original. Still looks cool.

Q: Can u take them off the stand

They can pop off the stand yes but to what point and purpose is unknown and you risk breaking the stand knob

Q: Can I drill a 16 x 1.5 insert into the helmet to use with my stick shift car?

I would say no. First of all, it wouldn't be very stable and you would most likely destroy the helmet. Hope this helps.
