Nicely balanced rich tones with plenty of crisp highs. Air drum inducing earphones
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Boom! Succulent delightful range of tones, rich bass and crisp high notes, with plenty of volume and no distortion! As an avid music listening I am always looking for that piece of audio equipment that can enhance my music enjoyment and anything that can send tingles down my spine when listening to my favourite tracks makes them a great purchase. It seems that these Audbos earphones may just be that.Presentation============The earphones come supplied in a smart presentation box that you would expect of products with a premium price tag. The quality of the packaging sets the tone product. Opening up the box you are met with a neatly laid out pair of earphones and some of the spare silicon buds.Inside the box you get:1 pair of AUDBOS Dual Driver In-ear Earphones4 pairs of different sized silicon earbuds (2 pairs in presentation foam, 1 pair fitted, 1 pair in case)1 pair of foam earbuds1 Black Hard shell type carry case1 InstructionsI like the wood and metal design of the earbuds themselves, they have a look of class and quality to them and something that I would associate with certain premium line of audio products. At first I was dreading that the earpieces would be big and end up poking out of my ears a little too much but was pleasantly surprised when taking them out of the box. They are quite small at 24mm long and fit really well in my ears, you hardly notice them unlike some other designs that I have had.The earpieces look top quality with what looks like some good design and workmanship has gone in to them. TheThe wire itself is a quality silicon coated thin wire with alternating colour banding, actually looks and feels good. The wire itself measures approx 120cm long with the remote control and mic piece being roughly 18cm down the right hand side of the earphones wire. The junction where the two wires meet is roughly 36 cm down from the earpieces. The left and right wires are of a good length but no buckle or cable tie, so that you can take up the slack of the two loose wires, exists. Which for me actually works well.Of course no good priced should be without some form of protection which the included case does well enough holding both the earphones and also spare earbuds.Audio Quality=============As with any earphones etc, I like to test the audio quality with a predefined playlist of various genres on various devices such as my android phone using the Poweramp app, Sansa Clip MP3 player, laptop with beats audio, and also my home audio system. I get a good idea of how a product compares to other similar products when using these same tracks and devices, especially when looking for that wow factor and tingles down spine from hearing my favourite songs in the best way I can. Before getting under way I always like to plug any earphones in to the audio system and left to 'burn' in to loosen up the drivers from their manufacturing state. I will run the burn in process continuosly for several hours then give them a break every 6 - 8 hours then repeat the cycle several times over the first few days. I could just jump in to wearing the earphones but I prefer to wait and get that wow factor in the best possible way.Like all earphones etc adjustment of tones and/or setting of equalisers will be required as one configuration will not fit all. These earphones needed just that. I found them to be sensitive to adjustment of tones on most of my devices yet without any issues at all. Using equipment with good features and performance really makes all of the difference. The clarity of depth of the bass is brilliant with dance and rock tracks instantly sending those recognisable tingles down the spine with the air drums coming out to play. High notes again like the bass was pretty much on point and without any noticeable flat spots. Even ramping up the power device to full volume and all equaliser levels set to max the earphones just did not want to give anything bad out. Mid range tones can't be faulted either. I am definitely impressed with the great balance between tones.Using my Sandisk Mp3 player with Rockbox installed, again with the equaliser tweaked, not as often as the poweramp needed on my phone the bass was very clear and deep with impressive high tones and very loud, much louder than my phone, undistorted, totally brain shaking delightful heavy tones. Absolutely fantastic in every way, the range of these buds is impressive. For me these earphones will be mostly used with my Sandisk player as the sound is quite amazing.Call quality was great as you can expect. The easily accessible buttons on the remote allowed answering and ending of calls along with playing, pausing of tracks etc as you can expect, multiple presses of either the up / down volume button enable you to change tracks, forward or reverse, multiple times which is done with ease. Press and holding the button activated Google now voice commands.Comfort========The earbuds sit well in my ears for lengthy periods of time with no discomfort or falling out. When using the method of pulling on an earlobe to fit the earbuds in my ear canal properly the sound was great with no outside noise coming in and no leakage from what I was listening to, as confirmed by those sitting close by.Summary========In all a very nice pair of contemporary well designed and sized earphones that have a good range of tones and some nice deep and clear bass thus giving a pleasant audio experience. I would happily recommend these to others based on their design, presentation and most of all sound quality.
