Man Down - Series 1-2 [DVD]

I've watched every episode of this series at least three times . Original, and so funny . Such a shame that Rik Mayall died . His portrayal of the father was hilarious . The characters interaction is superb .. especially the relationship between Greg Davies and the children in his drama class ... which is so obviously based on his years as a ' crap' teacher . The supporting cast are great . Real comedy classic ... the only shame is that although not quite so funny , seasons three and four have not been released .

First of all, never seen it on telly before, so a great surprise!second, it’s very very PG15 and brilliant British humour, and last but not least,Rik Mayall did his last job here , and he is as expected fun and raw.I’m so glad you shipped and posted it quick!!

Saw this on TV during the first lockdown and loved it so bought the DVDs so I could watch it again (which I have several times). I only wish season 3 and 4 were also available to buy on DVD.

Excellent Show! When IS Season 3-4 coming? C'mon man get with it! Greg is seasons 3-4? Was releasing 1-2 so quick a Money grab?

Great comedy cd

I had resigned myself to expecting to just do a few half-hearted chortles at best when watching sitcoms these days. But, this is brilliant. Funny characters you care about, and laugh out loud with. Crazy people, but not written to be crazy so they can easily perform odd acts for cheap laughs, no, they are flawed people, but nice people, living life in their strange way, and making us 'normals' laugh and along while be happy they exist.

It's not easy to create a comedy in which despite all the outlandish events you still believe the situations and care about the characters but Man Down does it. Great cast even the school kids are a hoot. Rik Mayall is wonderful in series 1 and his tragic death could have curtailed the series but Stephanie Cole as Nesta in series 2 is such a different character that there's no comparison. Funny, bizarre and surprisingly moving at times.
