If it's working you can't turn it off (of course it doesn't register if you stop). The only way to have the possibility to start measuring a different event is using the action mode, but you can have just one in memory, so there is no button on/off. As you know at midnight it automatically resets.

Are the aerobic steps in addition to the steps walked or part of it

Hello Terry, the aerobic steps are included in the total steps but they are the portion of the steps that you do at a faster pace, there is a facility that you can check for a particular excersize as well, press mode, go through steps cals, miles back to steps, then press mem button, you can then record just the one activity. Does the Walking Style IV record distance in miles? (Other Omrons record in kms only)

The Omron Walking Style IV can be set to record distance in either miles or kms. This can be changed with General Settings.

Does this come with a belt clip ?

It does not come with a belt clip but it does come with a shot lanyard/cord with a crocodile clip. I normally put it in my trousers pocket and attach the clip to the pocket lip. Hope this helps. Happy walking.
