It’s ok!
I bought this after reading about it in a pool group page. It definiteky directs debris to the skimmer box but it’s annoying because my chlorine floats also get stuck by it. Very useful tool if you get a lot of surface debris in your pool like leaves and bugs. If you don’t get a lot of large debris then it’s not needed. Good product overall and easy to install.

Dissatisfied, for 2 reasons, divert does not fit an inlaid skimmer and is not rigid enough
(1) I couldn’t secure the deflector in the skimmer with the provided mounting bracket. The PVC bracket and nuts are supposed to be manually expanded to wedge the deflector inside the skimmer. This is done by loosening/tightening adjustable nuts. I attempted to lengthen but the height of the skimmer opening was too high. I augmented the post with a longer PVC coupler of my own. The deflector stayed in place for awhile maybe an hour but then floated away.(2) Also, when I secured the diverter (with the augmented PVC coupler) the diverter was not rigid enough against the force of the water to divert the flow of debris toward skimmer intake. The force of the water bent the diverter and the debris floated around it.Note, even if I was able to secure the diverter it wouldn’t be fit the function the maker proclaims.

Simple but great
It’s amazing how much this thing helped skim my pool. I noticed a lot of the debris would just float past the skimmer. Now most of it catches and goes right in.

I like what it does but difficult to get ittightenoughto stay in place should be a little stiffer as no to move so much with the water

Directs the floating debris into the skimmer
A little flimsy but does a good job

Great Concept But Didn’t Work For Me
This is a great concept. I loved the idea of something catching the little gnats that like to swarm my pool water over the summer. It takes forever to scoop them all out to swim. We do have a cage over the pool, but these gnats are so small they get through the screens. I tried everything to get this skimmer to work. First it didn’t fit in my pool’s skimmer. No matter how much I tightened or loosened the ends to tighten in the skimmer opening. Secondly, there was no way for this skimmer to stay above the water enough to actually catch anything. Lastly, the current just went around this device, along with the all the gnats I’m trying to collect. I was out there a good half hour tinkering with this to work. It didn’t. Within hours this product would sink further below the surface of the water. I even tried flipping it upside down to help keep it above the water. Nothing helped. I’m back to skimming the gnats with the net. So frustrating!

BUY...BUY...BUY..!!
A few weeks ago, I was in my pool standing by the skimmer watching so much debri flow right on past it. I put my elbow at the skimmer opening and angled my arm out in the pool and noticed that it would stop debri and then bring it in to the skimmer...I thought I had a million dollar idea, even told my girlfriend about it and to start packing for SHARK TANK...lol Then, I did some research and quickly found, as usual, I'm a day late and a dollar short...it's ALREADY been thought of and produced. A quick look on Amazon and I immediately purchased this one...and let me tell you, IT WORKS.. Has made all the difference in the world. My back yard has 16 trees..plus neighbors trees that litter my pool constantly.. Before this item, it was a never ending cycle of skimming....now though, at any given moment we decide to jump in, it's go time...no waiting 20 minutes of skimming first. Now I will say, it took a little tweeking setting my return jets and adjusting the skimmer arm to the best angle, but didn't take long.Simple solution for a big problem. RECOMMENDED..!!

try and try again, would not stay in place
Great concept, poor attempt. It is so difficult to tighten into the skimmer opening that it would either swing open or block the skimmer
