Strong & sturdy easily assembled value for money
Large sturdy post & base well worth the money came 4 days than expected minor thing heard a rattling in box found 2 screws& Allen key in bottom of box with empty plastic bag attached to post.But ideal for a large tom post about 2.5 foot high,base about 2 foot square

Expensive but is good
My cat runs across the house and throws himself at the scratch post in a way that similar to a Velociraptor in Jurassic Park, funny to watch but damaging to scratching posts. This post I have bought before and it proved itself a sturdy and well built post. I liked it so much I bought another when the last one died after years of abuse.I do think however the price is a little high. Some suppliers also want £6 for delivery, even to Prime members which I think is a little cheeky considering the price. However, if you can live with the cost, I do recommend this.

Very sturdy
This product is great. Marvin loves it. Fab scratcher for a larger cat, big base means it doesn’t fall over when Marvin uses it. As you can see, he loves using it as a perch as well. Would highly recommend. Worth the price too.

Impressed
The most hard-wearing scratch post we've had for our moggies; 8 months of use for 5 cats and it's not fell apart yet! It's tall enough for the biggest to stretch up on, and the little ones love to sit on top of it. The base is big enough that it doesn't topple over. The diameter of the post allows them to properly grip it. Highly recommend this scratch post. Quite expensive but, as we have found, if you buy cheap you buy twice.

It's a Fat Boy but it's not on a par with Ancol
I was looking for an Ancol Fat Boy to replace mine that was getting battered after 4 years of heavy use. I couldn't find one in stock so tried the CA&T Fat Boy. It is definitely not on a par with the Ancol. Same base size and height but the barrel is narrower, the top isn't cushioned, the fleece isn't as plush and the cord is thinner. Still, it is a big solid scratch post and delivery from P J pets was amazingly quick. Will see how long it lasts. The cats are currently considering it.

Scratch pole as advertised, delivery poor
The scratch pole was as advertised. Very sturdy but the delivery even after checking tracking was a day late. This is unacceptable when tracking is obviously wrong. Customer should be advised.
