Fossil Women's Kinley Crossbody Bag

I lucked out thrifting years ago with a Fossil bag and used it until I had worn so many holes in it, it was bordering on a statement piece instead of a functional item.While this isn't identical to the slimmer design I had before, it's pretty understated and has more pockets than I know what to do with. It looks just as good as when it first arrived and I use it nearly every day. At this point, I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking to Fossil from now on.

I have several leather crossbody/wristlet purses but I often need something larger. This Fossil crossbody is perfect. My other purses while attractive arr too slim. This well made leather bag is my go to now. The tri colors go with or compliment all my shoes. Especially important is that it easily holds several pads I may need during the day. I wish it came in a blue combination AND a cream, taupe, red tri-color pattern. Would get both in a flash! ! !

Just as shown in photo, it’s a great size, holds what you need, unless you need a fifth of bourbon! Cl phone, wallet and other small essentials (ladies)…..and the fabric is easily cleanable while still not looking cheap. Cute daytime bag!

I have another of this exact purse (black, small version). After maybe ten years, it looks a little worn, so I thought I’d buy a new one. The purse is perfect for me- it holds everything securely, it’s good for traveling, and it can be dressed up or down. Unfortunately, this one is different enough from my original that I suspect it is counterfeit. I suppose it’s also possible that they changed things since I bought the first one. For example, parts of the purse are PU leather instead of real leather. The zipper inside is a black plastic zipper instead of a gold/bronze colored metal zipper. Whether the quality has gone down or this is a counterfeit, I’m just a little disappointed. I absolutely loved my old one. I hope this one holds up just as long.

First off, I'll mention that I took these pictures straight after I pulled this purse from the box and removed some of the wrapping. See in second pic the tags are still on it.This is the brown version of the purse, and when you look at the listed picture it seems as though the purse is uniformly one color. However, it is not. The flap and strap are more of a reddish brown. Not my favorite color combo, but it's fine I guess. I do wish it had been portrayed with better pictures, however, because I would not have purchased it if I knew that's what it really looked like.The quality is... Subpar. If I'm buying a "luxury" purse, I expect it to measure up to a certain standard of quality. This does not measure up. As shown in the first picture, there is a weird crease on the bottom of one of the inside pockets, that isn't just the normal creasing of the fabric. The other pocket does not have this anomaly. Secondly, there is a black marking on the pocket from.. something.. that should not be there. It's faint but still noticable.The material on the exterior of the purse is fine. It's nothing special. Not as buttery soft as some other Fossil bags I've felt in the past. Don't like the fabric lining on the inside of the strap but I get the practicality of it. Overall in terms of style it's a cute purse, and has a good amount of room and pockets, so I do really like the size.I debated on whether or not I wanted to send it back since I'm not in love with it, but I decided I would just keep it because I really need a purse. I got it for 50% off the regular price, so these things arent THAT big of a deal in terms of what I paid for it. If I had paid the full listing price, however, I would have sent it back in a heartbeat. My advice would be to not pay full price for it, it definitely isn't worth that amount of money, so wait for a sale if you are interested. Or maybe try to find another fossil purse that was made better, or try another brand entirely.
