Works well both vertical and horizontal
I got this belt sheath a little over two weeks ago. I normally wear guayabera shirts so the sheath is under my shirt. The first thing I did was oil the sheath thoroughly, Then I put the knife in it and let it sit for a day. Then I wore it vertically with the opening downward. I tried it left side and right side and it was fine. Then I changed it to the horizontal orientation. That works fine, too, on either side. Since I also had a cell phone holster and a key ring holder on my belt I've settled on wearing the knife sheath on my right-hand side, opening forward, with the key holder behind it. So far, I really like this sheath.
