The harvest of these pines has been a significant aspect of the economy of the rural south for decades, and the ability of the pines to withstand fire has helped this industry to survive. This book provides a panorama of pictures and narration that reminds me of what my family called a "Coffee Table Book" that can bring many hours of informative browsing.
