Feels weird not giving it five stars but I have my reasons…
To not give a Weta Epic Mini five stars feels weird, their LotR's Witch King figure is incredible, the movement in his cloak is a thing of beauty, I love the stance of both the Alien(s) figures but this one is…meh! The sculpt itself is, of course, great, it’s Weta, after all…it’s just shame they didn’t play about with the proportions the way they often do (like with the WK's teeny head and giant mace thingy or the Predator's enlarged head, both are stunning) so it’s just…um…v vanilla. Really, though, it’s the paint job I find to be a rather subpar…far too minimalist!!! My husband is going to have a go at redoing it and as he is excellent at painting miniatures I know he’s going to do the figure the justice it deserves.
