B-Sides: 1996-2006

Theirs not a placebo album I dont like! Saw them live in december. Was perfect. As for the product- I love it. And some of the tracks make me laugh hehe, theirs one that just has loads of banging instruments and it makes me giggle just thinking of them doing free style with trumpets and what not hahahah :') gotta love Brian stefan and steve. Another perfect album.

Some cracking tunes on this album( some shockers too) but if like me you just can't get enough of placebo then this is a must have

Great album

B Sides contains some rare gems that are a privilege to own. Songs such as Lazarus, Innocence of the Sleep and more cement Placebo in the memory as not just being hitmasters with their big hits.

I bought this album at sametime as Covers, I have listened to it a couple of times,its ok but as yet I have to find time to give it a proper listen.

The B sides album has some very good songs collected on it and i was pleasently surprised. However unless you are a big fan of Molko and the band i wouldn't say that the album is for everyone, especially any newcomers to the band and their music.

I found this collection of B-Sides to be disappointing. I am a fan of all Placebo's main releases, and although B-Sides I was expecting a bit more from this - something in the vein of Suede's Sci-Fi Lullabies which is of equal if not superior standard to their usual is what I had hoped for.B-Sides I think are an opportunity for an artist to record something of their own choosing, that is special to them but may not be chart/mass purchasing appeal. That is perhaps what Placebo have done here, but to myself as an outsider it seems as though they have recorded fillers without really trying too hard.There are a lot of tracks containing unusual or experimental sounds, short tracks that seem to have little purpose other than a 'warm-up' or 'chill-out' session and don't really go anywhere, early tracks that were not recorded well.I don't dislike all of this collection, there are some reasonable tracks admittidly mostly on the second disc such as 'Leni', 'Bubblegun', 'UNeedMeMoreThanINeedYou' and 'Been Smoking Too Long'. There is also some appeal in 'Ion' and 'Leeloo' instrumentals which have more pleasing compositions than many of the others.But there are 28 tracks on this double release, and I have given them all a chance, I just don't feel that I will be listening to most of them again. I think the only real appeal of this is for Placebo completists.

Cd ist wie immer super schnell angekommen, danke an Amazon!Nun zum Produkt, die Lieder sind nicht schlecht aber irgendwie kommt das Placebo typische "HAMMER" bei mir nicht auf, auch nach mehrmaligem hören nicht.Für mich waren Meds und Battle for the Sun um Längen besser.Wer Placebo-Fan ist und dieses Album noch fehlt, kann gerne zugreifen. Neulingen rate ich eher zum etwas düsteren Meds oder dem deutlich fröhlicheren Battle for the Sun.

Being a continued Placebo music lover, I would have thought that B-Sides would have included a better mix of earlier works, and the greatest hits. however, I do understand the experimental aspect of the compliation, therefore, it does show another "b-side" of the band. Overall: B+
