For various reasons, I haven't used my Dell laptop for a couple of years. When I opened it the other day, it entered BitLocker mood, asking me to enter recovery key, which I could not find at all because I remember I never saved it anywhere.After trying all the options without success on the computer, I resorted to this USB stick, not sure if it would work.On first attempt, after reading the instructions provided on the stick, it didn't solve my problem. So, I initiated a return and contacted a local computer repair man who quoted £60.After dropping the computer to him, I plugged the USB into my desktop PC and noticed that there is also a Fix Error folder where an email address is provided should I wish to contact technical support.All of this gave me huge confidence that I wanted to have another go. So, I called the local repair man who had not started on the job, and brought my computer back home.I made my second attempt, after carefully reading the instructions in the Fix Error folder. However, my problem remained with the computer asking me to enter BitLocker recovery key number.With the service person's email address, I made my third attempt later in the afternoon. And what an experience! The guy replied almost instantly and from the name of the responding email, it was obvious that the guy is based in China, where it was nearly midnight.Over the course of nearly four hours, the guy guided me to resolve my problem with the computer. What happened was that he would ask me for certain screenshots at various stages of the process, which I did using the camera of my phone and then attached them to emails -sent also via my phone.I attach a couple of such screenshots to give you an idea and a photo of the little stick together with that small piece of printed instructions to highlight my experience.All I can say is that don't give up if it doesn't work initially. In the worst scenario, write an email and this China-based guy will guide you through the recovery process with more than adequate English writing ability.In the end, you will not only save money but also gain valuable experience about these things as well as a USB stick that you can use again in the future should similar problems occur on any computer.At £17, It is actually a long term investment, in other words.

The product that keeps on giving! Not only did you save my desktop but you also revived an old laptop that had remained dormant for 2 years. Initially, I thought £17.99 was a bit expensive but that £17.99 saved me £550 for the desktop and £350 for the laptop.Why did I buy this?Because Artificial intelligence fu!£ed up my PC by deleting the page size to help free up space on my PC . After that, the PC wouldn't load not even doing some code work in the boot manager worked. So thank you very much for saving my bacon!InstructionsSomewhat easy to follow but I have a tech background which makes it easier, however, I cant deal with too much information so I relayed the instructions to ChatGPT and got him to guide me one step at a time so if I did encounter issues Chatgpt had the tech knowledge to help but ( use with caution because he did make mistakes ) if in doubt " always" follow the guy's instructions.I really appreciate the screenshots. Screenshots really helped me understand the instructions. Thank you

I had a bad BCD stopping my pc from booting. I booted from the usb stick which contains a number of recovery utilities. After a bit of trial and error i was able to correct the issue without too much fuss and my pc has been running fine now for a number of months. Highly recommend if you are having boot issues to.

First and foremost it works. The external instructions are rather poor. It needs the pc to be set to boot from disk and it suggests a button to press while booting but they key suggested wasn’t correct for my laptop. I looked up booting on the internet and found there were 3 possible buttons. I went through them all and eventually found there were right one. Once you get past booting everything is simple. Just follow the on screen prompts and you will have the windows version required. Take the key out for rebooting or it will go through the process again unless you go back into boot preferences and demote boot from usb.The key also has a lot of other useful packages that can be accessed anytime from the key. Overall good value for money. I wanted Windows 10 but I also have the option to instal windows 11.

There were no clear instructions or warnings with this item. Nor, despite several messages, has the seller resolved my issue in that after carefully watching the "video" on the usb stick I followed the instructions to the letter and promptly lost all of the apps on my PC. Yes it did reinstall Windows 10 but my drivers were lost and the PC runs incredibly slowly, so slowly that my PC is no longer usable.As with most customers that turn to a usb reboot I know very little about my PC operating systems and thought that this "magic" item would somehow save the day (especially after the glowing reviews from other users) - it didn't and it definitely made things much worse. Having relied on Google to save my passwords I was shocked to discover that my passwords, favourites, Banking access, GOV. UK log ins!, etc. were all lost.Not for PC users that aren't already IT savvy.I wouldn't buy this item again and most assuredly wouldn't trust the vendor.

It is a little confusing (or maybe that’s just me!) but it worked and I got my computer up and running again. The directions were the slightly confusing bit but after trying various things it did work. If the directions were more of a “hold your hand” kind of fixing the computer I would give it the fifth star. Worth the money when faced with a dead computer!

It was extremely good and easy to use. I needed some assistance and emailed support. They answered immediately and sorted my issue. 5 star service.
