Maybe everyone writing bad reviews should read what they are purchasing. This camera works great with my system. No issues, Great Picture. 3mp is an upgrade from my 1080p cameras. You can tell a difference.

The product requires a DVR system to work. It cannot be plugged directly into a security monitor. It can be use with a Night Owl DVR systems. The product does not have the ability to show thermal, it only has the ability to detect thermal motion (like an old motion light, PIR).

Night vison failed! Not a good product! I do not recommend.

I loved the system so much I had to purchase 2 additional cameras and the are awesome...I want to add 2 more but they are out of stock...so far I'm pleased..

I have owned my 4 camera wired Swann dvr for a year. Running the wires through the house was very challenging and sadly not even worth it. The DVR is very noisy and I can here it everytime I walk by it. The motion setting has failed to capture many important moments that fortunately my camera doorbell has captured. Another negative to the set is on playback, the video skips and is not continuous. I was trying to see how a stranger left my house and it showed the person get near a vehicle and the next scene was the car driving off. I will never know if the person was the driver or passenger thanks to my Swann camera. Recently, one of my cameras decided to only show 25% of the image. I called and emailed Swann yesterday and am still waiting on aa response. I am on the market for a decent quality security camera set. Good luck!
