My son loves transformers and cars and although it's pink, it didn't put him off at all. He figured out how it works all on his own, because I was kinda stumped, LOL. The Pegasus or unicorn (depending on your interpretation), is the combination of two cars. The pink car has a magnet in the front, the yellow car has a magnet in the rear. When the two magnets find each other, the cars just kinda un-transform and pop out making the animal complete for the most part sans unfurling the head and horn. It's pretty neat to see (see video). Sometimes my son will just roll the cars together and they just 'pop' into the animal. It reminds me a bit of the Bakugan toys.As a parent, I see he really has enjoyed playing with this neat transforming toy and I feel it's a fair price point. I'd also be inclined to give it as a gift. It's so unique that I'm pretty. It'd be the only one at a birthday party or for Christmas.
