Q: I am looking for one with a small 9v connection, does this have a 9v connection?

Why do you want a separate power source? This unit gets its power from the unit its connected to.

Q: Can i use this with my sonic bomb alarm clock as it seems in the picture that the jack plug is of a different type to the one that came with my clock.

I have the same problem with sonic alert shaker pad, the jack doesn't fit. It won't fit in your sonic bomb alarm clock as the shaker pad won't fit in.

Q: what size is the jack connection ? would i be able to connect this to my mobile ?

Hi Elizabeth,The size of the jack connection is 5.5 x 2.1mm. I wouldn't have thought a mobile powerful enough to run it as it requires a 12v supply, though think I've seen lower.
