Bar Top Slab

I am a huge fan of the slabs I bought! They are beautiful and soft to the touch, pleasant to dine at and rest your hands on. They are great quality and helped create a professional and luxurious environment which draws in more customers. The customers at my cafe are constantly asking about them and complimenting them as they look great and are very convenient.

I have very mixed feelings about this product and my experience with Seller. Background - I ordered an 8 ft long, 17-20 inches wide slab (2-3 inches thick) with live edge in natural finish, paid $40.00 extra for glossy and chose not to upgrade the wood.Pros:Price - $239 is a starting point not the final price folks. Mine cost $1k +. I did not have an issue with the price and was grateful that this product was even available on Amazon and I found the price to be at the market rate for this product. Something like this is usually only available from local woodworkers and is very expensive (especially for custom pieces).Shipping/Packaging - great! Came sooner than expected as was very well-packed. No issues there.Measurements were on point, quality is good. Sizing was perfect, this is a solid piece of wood and looks beautiful except for the giant gray streak running the length of my slab (see Cons section for details).Responsiveness of Seller is good. While it could be faster, I am grateful they responded to me at all. Some Sellers don't, so the fact that I got an answer is a plus.And the Cons:The Seller reputation online is stellar (I even looked at the Google reviews) and they receive lots of praise for workmanship and customer service. So I didn't hesitate to buy online. With that said, they must be new to online service because my experience was not so great. And what's worse is that my 2 issues with them could have been resolved by a simple phone call BEFORE shipping it out. They couldn't even make a call to someone buying a $1,000 slab. ?? And Seller's only remedy for my issues was for me to send it back to them at my cost for correction and also pay out of pocket for them to ship it back to me. YIKES $$$ - on top of this already expensive slab. Not a viable remedy. First issue - I really dislike this grey streak in my slab. I wish the Seller was more communicative during the customization process. All it would have taken to make me a happy customer would have been a call or text with pics (BEFORE shipment) to describe the final product for Seller to confirm that all custom specs were satisfied so I would have had an opportunity to make adjustments while they still had it in their shop. Since I ordered in natural and the gray streak is so taste specific, it would have been nice to allow me the option to refinish it (at my cost) in a darker shade that would have hidden the gray streak. Why a slab with the gray was selected for a customer wanting a natural finish is beyond me but I can be reasonable and would have stained it another color. Seller's response was that the gray streak is very natural/typical. BUT I disagree. I do not see any examples of this streaking on Amazon pics (neither Sellers nor other reviewers) nor on their own website. So apparently its not as common as they said. 2nd issue - I wanted it glossy but what I got was a satin finish and only one side of the slab is finished. This also could have been corrected pre-shipment as I could have seen it and specified at that time, that I wanted it very glossy and shiny (like with an epoxy finish) as another reviewer posted in their picture. Save your $40 and put the finish on yourself. My advice to Seller is - there is a huge online market that you are going to miss out on if you don't fix your online sales customer service. With just a little more effort you could really be an A+ Seller. And my advice to customers - be proactive with this Seller, maybe if you call and discuss the specs and specify upfront that you want to see it before shipment, you can avoid some of the headache I've gone through. And note that I did not buy the legs from them (way overpriced). You can do better elsewhere for those. Legs would have cost me $500 from this Seller but I got them locally for half that.

Love this bar top! It was exactly as advertised and a beautiful piece of wood. Arrived very securely packed and five days earlier than originally promised. And the price was less than quoted locally from several different places. Could not ask for more!
