Racing 1 Motorcycle Helmet Lock Combination Carabiner Secure Steel Construction (Carabiner)

Incredible tool.Simple, easy to use and rugged. This is my second lock. Liked it so much I bought a second one for my son. I keep it in my small windshield bag, so it's easy to get to. You can lock your helmet just about anywhere on the bike, so there's no chance of scarring your helmet, paint job, or chrome. And you can use one to secure just about anything that has a D ring, or eye.

We purchased two of these Motorcycle Helmet Lock Carabiners. They are made of high strength aluminum and have a 3 digit combination lock. They arrived in the promised two day time. We are using them to lock up various accessories on our Hobie Kayaks. The only reason we didn't give them a five is because they are not as big as we wanted. I didn't see a description that showed the Locking Carabiners exact size. For anyone else buying these, they measure approximately 2 7/8" W X 1 1/4" H (inside distance at widest points). As with any locks, I would treat the locking mechanism with a high quality silicone based oil.

Good: - it opens out (not in), unlike a traditional carabiner, so it can fit over large bars. - works well.Bad - A bit hard to set your custom combination while holding the set switch (with fat fingers, at least). - Not super secure, especially with only 1000 combinations to try.Knowing all this, it's still a lot nicer than a bulky cable, so thumbs up.

Ignored all the previous reviews about the lock not working and bought this thinking how hard can it be to set a lock?!Well I was wrong. This helmet lock is flawed by design; set the combo, couldn't get the clip to close at any point. Also couldn't reset the lock.Waste of time and money, this doesn't work at all. You're better off with a wire cable lock.

It's a brilliant lock! I wouldn't leave the house without it. My bike's helmet lock is broken, and this handy little jem allows me to leave my helmet on the bike and feel safe about it.
