Q: I'm thinking 2 use for addedsecurity for a Thule Sidekick roof cargo carrier tighten along the lips of clamshell. Do you think they will stay tight?

Since these clamps are intended for rubber or plastic hoses that will fit completely in the opening, I'm not sure I'd want to use them for something that would protrude beyond the opening. They might well stay tight, but there could be a risk of their slipping off. Perhaps bungee cords over the carrier would be a better solution.
