A good start that will help you better navigate bad impulses
Book Review of Better Self Control Workbook by Nicole HarmonRating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is my second book I have read by Dr. Yuliya Richards and it is about having better self-control and controlling your impulsivity. He has included in this book illustrations to drive home his point made in the chapters both before and after the diagram. I think this book shows you a good summarization about what causes some people to act impulsively and what may or does go through their head when such an episode happens. I like this book because I actually found I have two of the impulses on the list. And while I don’t agree with all that is in the book I do believe that it is a good start and will help you better navigate bad impulses. Not all will agree with this book but it is definitely recommended that you yourself read the book to make your own decision.

The Impulsivity Project provides you with tools to assist in overcoming impulsive feelings and actions, such as rage, anger, overeating, etc..

This might sometimes get out of hand and accounts for harsh behavior not just towards ourselves but also towards others. Give it a read and you will understand the psychological dynamics that cause this to happen and certain tips to get through it in the right way.
