Amazing value for top grades
Bought the full science set to tutor my brother, this is an absolutely fantastic set of books, and great value for what you are getting. Flicking through it the content is pitched at just the right level and reminds you of all the content needed to score top marks. A definite must have especially at such a low RRP

A Good Revision Guide for the new 2016 AQA GCSE Syllabus
This covers the new GCSE syllabus introduced in 2016 for the AQA exam board. The content's broken down into 5 main sections - "Cells & Organisation", "Disease & Biogenics", "Biological Reponses", "Genetics & Reproduction" and "Ecology". Within each section there are further breakdown into chapters dealing with the major subtopics; the layout is clear and attractive, with key point summaries, study tips and "on the up" sections (which provide some pointers for going "above & beyond" to achieve the higher grades). There are also what are slightly fancifully called "synoptic links", which in essence are just links to show how the current topic relates to other topics in the syllabus. Finally, there's a glossary of terms (good idea), and plenty of summary & practice questions (with all answers in the book itself). There are some places where more careful sub-editing would have been advised. For example in the section on "Organisms in their Environment", examples of Abiotic and Biotic factors are listed; the study tip recommends you know the difference between abiotic and biotic factors, but omits to supply the definition. That aside, this looks like a useful revision aid alongside more in-depth texts.

Detailed, Colourful, Condensed Contents.
Purchased to supplement the required course text book Oxford AQA Biology 3rd Edition isbn: 978 019 835 9371.Like the the text book it is colourful and detailed. At first glance (I am two weeks into the course) the contents appear overwhelming but I got it because it is the same layout and design as the text book, which I will be used to working from. Each subject is presented as bullet points, without the detailed explanations in the text book. Each group of subjects is followed by Summary Questions and each chapter ends with Practise Questions, which appear to be similar to exam questions. Space is not provided on the questions pages to write in the book. Answers to all are in the back of the book.Information for Higher Tier studying is highlighted but you have to look for it. (I have purchased the Higher Workbook as well). These Oxford books appear excellent so far but I have also bought other revision books in the search for a simpler visually uncomplicated content.

This book is perfect for AQA Biology revision
This book is perfect for AQA Biology revision. The way the information is laid out in this book is so easy for me to just get in my head. I used to purchase other revision books from CGP and Collins. Both aren't as good as this one. Sometimes some of the information that you need to learn aren't there. But this book has it all. Obviously since its an OXFORD guide. Sometimes when I try to revise information from CGP books, it takes up lots of time. Hours and hours of revising and understanding. But since I started revising from this book, I been revising for only an hour and 30 minutes. This is perfect for me!

Very Good textbook
This was actually really useful for revising from and even after lockdown I was able to look back through stuff and re-learn it. Being in year 11 when we already missed so much of year 10 has made it difficult to get back to the point I was at before lockdown. These textbook helped greatly on catching up.
