I works very well as hoped
I have an exhaust fan in our manufacturing facility in very warm environment. Operating it with garage doors closed during cold temperature condition it causing a negative pressure resulting hard to open access doors. Running it with garage door open creates uneven temperature in different areas causing feuds among workers. I have ordered this inverter thru Amazon, inexpensive, which came in two days and installed in 20 minutes and it worked like champs! Easy to control speed with turning knob that worker adjust themselves with out any difficulty. NO MORE FIGHT! Installing and operating instruction were easy to understand. But I do not not know the durability yet.

Total junk!
I cannot believe they are selling this junk, and people are giving it a good review. Someone is greasing someone's palm. It is impossible to even figure out how to wire it from the load side during initial setuop. I have set up 3 other VFDs before, and this was ridiculous. The images and instructions in no way matched the unit itself, and I can't imagine what it would be like trying to set up the parameters. As for support? Non-existent! I emailed three times in 48 hours and didn't hear a whisper. I don't usually write reviews, but this one piqued my ire!

Customer support is top knotch
We are using this as a speed control for a 1960 3phase Delta Rockwell industrial drill press that was setup for wood working and even at lowest belt setting was running much to fast. WE now have full control over the speed. Works great.Real reason for the high ratting is customer support. While complex the manual is comprehensive. Most significantly turn around time of email question to seller was fast and response was complete.

Severe noise issues on RS-485 communications, otherwise, it's a mostly usable drive
If you are not using RS-485 communication's you can ignore the below information. The drive works great if you are not using RS-485.I have been working in industrial automation for a few decades and have been around a lot of these types of electronics. That doesn't mean I know everything, but I understand a good deal of it. I gave a 3 star review due to the issues experienced with the RS-485 communication issues. My PLC is loosing communication with the drive after the motor has started due to extreme noise generated by the drive. Using an oscilloscope with differential probes, I have been able to confirm that the noise present on this drive increases and hits the voltage rails permitted by RS-485 communication standard TIA/EIA. This causes garble data and loss of transmission on this VFD and the rest of the communication BUS.I have reached out to support to discuss fixing this, and they advised using a shielded cable (which I am) to prevent noise from collecting on the remaining bus. This might shield the rest of the bus, but does not fix the communication issues to the drive itself. If you are looking to use this on a RS-485 Modbus network, please consider this issue. Any other manufacturer (Rockwell, Delta, Danfoss, Automation Direct, Teco, etc) implements proper TVS diode protection to prevent these spikes from propagating through the network and into the drive itself.Additionally, there are several modbus addresses missing from the manual that are important. FD-00 is the baud rate selection for RS-485. The selection is: 5000:300, 5001:600, 5002:1200, 5003:2400, 5004:4800, 5005:9600(default), 5006:19200, 5007:38400, 5008:57600, 5009:115200. My drive came with 5005 as the default, I don't know what the 500 in 5005 means, but the last digit is the baud rate selection.Another undocumented modbus addresses is 1000H which is the output percent, 0 - 10000 (0 - 100%). 2000H is documented which sets FWD(1) or REV(2) (start) and 6 for stop.I hope this information helps people, many people have stated that tech support has been excellent, but my experience has been much less.

Excellent value VFD
The media could not be loaded. Excellent price point for a 2hp VFD. I have used Lenze Tech in the past and this seems to work as well out of the box. The MFG was super responsive to questions. I was emailing them @ 10pm est and getting a reply in minutes. Granted 10 pm here is 10am there. Still great responce time. There was some confusion between the chinglish manual and the markings on the terminal, but again I got clarification in minutes. I had inferred correctly, but it was nice to have that formal clarification. It was regarding single phase input. The manual calls out L & N and a ground symbol at the terminals for power & ground in but they were marked L1 and L2 and the ground terminal did not have a ground symbol but PE label. Programming was typically convoluted, but the manual was accurate. So, adjusting the max Hz to 60 for USA power grid and reducing the ramp up/dn to something reasonable for a drill press was a snap. If it doesn't blow up in short order it's a win.

Very nice. Don't buy anything else.
The instructions are very clear and well translated. Granted I'm not a complete novice with VFD's but i only know enough to get in trouble. Setup was easy to understand and they are set up to run on a remote switch. I'm using this on an old J-head Bridgeport and like the fact I can vary the speed. My old vfd was used as a 3 phase converter and it had terrible instructions and wasn't worth the headache because it was not running full power. I will run this one 3 phase in and out. I wouldn't buy another brand personally.
