Soldering Iron Replacement bit - 3.0mm for Antex CS18,TC50,TCS,SD50 (1101 bit)

These are supposed to be easier to slide on and off the iron thtn the older, split bits. I found them even harder to get off the iron until I cut away some of the shim that fills the gap between iron and bit - just one section of the hexagonally folded shim seemed to be enough (that eliminates the overlap). Heat transfer still seems to be good and the bits now come off much more easily.Note:The Amazon illustration is for the older, split type of bit.

Good quality item and as long as you occasionally remove the bit from the iron to keep it moving freely then there is no problem with replacement. I bought this bit for general purpose electrical wiring. Just the right size!
