Extremely satisfying to grow & use in my cooking.
I really like this grow kit. They help make gardening easy for all levels of gardeners with easy to follow instructions & even a handy little chart to show you when to plant your seeds to get the best results depending on if your plants are going to be kept inside or outside & when best to harvest. There's lots of different sets available to pick from so there should be something to suit all tastes.I personally went for the herb garden kit as i love using herbs in my cooking & have found it extremely satisfying to grow & be able to cut off some herbs fresh from the windowsill as I'm cooking.I thought it was all beautifully presented & love that its all eco-friendly packaging as everything is made from 100% recycled materials.Even the seed pods are made from certified compostable and 100% biodegradable materials, so you get a very tasty eco-friendly gardening experience. In the herb garden kit there's 12x seed pods with 3 pods for each seed type there's 3x Coriander, 3x Basil, 3x Parsley & 3xRocketOverall i found the whole process worked really well & have so far been really happy with the results.Definitely something i'd consider picking up again.

Simple and really good idea, but only 3/12 worked
Planted all 12 in fresh compost, well watered, sunny spot overseas.Only 1 rocket (that is doing really well) and 2 parsley (slower but getting there). The rest didn’t sprout at all.

Love it!
This pack of 12 seed pods is beautifully packaged in a recyclable gift box, so would make an ideal gift. It's simple enough for beginners, and comes with clear instructions. You get 3 each of the 4 different varieties of herb, and there are multiple seeds in each pod, so you could end up with quite a few plants with this! The leaflet shows you exactly when you can plant the seeds either outdoors or indoors. This is a really simple, mess-free way to garden that doesn't require any tools or much space. All you need is some small pots or patches of soil, and some water. Pop the pods in the soil and they mostly take care of themselves.I love all the different options and that you can really tailor this gift to fans of cocktails, pizzas, burgers or cooking in general.

A bit gimmicky but maybe good for young kids.
I was excited to try these but I found they were taking a really long time to sprout. So I cut one of the paper pods open, and find that it only contained 2 gherkin seeds, no growing media (no soil/compost) and the sprouts struggled to break through the paper pod as it is quite thick. So I took the seeds out and planted them directly in soil and this worked great - I have some very healthy tomato and gherkin seedlings now! So the seeds seem great, but the pods seem like a gimmick. Might be good for a young child to plant their own seeds as I assume since of them will eventually sprout if they are kept well watered, but don't expect a lot of success.

Super simple to plant and grow
These are plantable miniature pods filled with seeds. The instructions are clear and have all the information on sowing, growing in and how long from germination to harvesting. They are super simple to use: just pop them in the compost until they are level with the surface (make sure you plant the seeds at the correct depth for optimum germination), add water and go. The pod protects the seeds as they begin to germinate and breaks down naturally allowing the roots to grow freely and deeply. These pots with the pods are placed on the sunny kitchen windowsill and watered every day. I have been waiting for more than two weeks, tomatoes,1 rocket and 1 basil have germinated and no peppers. I will wait a bit longer. It is very interesting to see how the seedlings develop and grow. It is a quick and less fuss way of starting some veg seeds.

A modern way to grow herbs
These are a new idea for planting seeds with them being embedded into a growth medium as a pod. Each pod has a label that details when and how to plant the pods to get the best results. The results are a simple way to start growing herbs to use in cooking.I have waited for a month to review these as it can take a while for plants to grow. Initially I was disappointed as the herbs did not seem to be growing well initially but after a couple of weeks the herbs started growing and have come on very well since. These do seem to be a nice way to grow herbs. The cost is not the best though as you are paying a lot of the pod format compared to just seeds in a packet.
