VMware vSphere For Dummies

A good intro
I like the Dummies series of books. They take all of the hype and distill it down to reader-friendly language. There are a lot of acronyms in these books, but all are given their full info.So find a subject you want to learn about and pick up a Dummies book.

Instant Understanding
Fantastic Book! I have been working with server virtualization for years, starting with Microsoft's Virtual PC and Virtual Server (had to, I worked for them). Now working as a Senior Systems Engineer I took over our VMWare implementation several months ago and was just winging it. I got this book because I usually start with the Dummies books for new things I'm working with. The content is very complete, super easy to understand, answered all my questions, and was a great read. Over 300 pages and all great. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to setup VMWare from scratch or as a great reference.

Very old book
This is a very old book, it shouldn’t be in the Kindle bookstore at this price, it should be under $2 for its age.

A fun read with great technical info
I love the DUMMIES series of books because of their plain English way of speaking. It's a fun read and easy to understand. The technical details are all there (I know nothing about VMware yet) and I'm learning a lot from this book.

Three Stars
Gives some good basics, but it's now 2 versions of VMware outdated which is a problem.

Check the version
Version I got was a bit outdated but that was my fault....

Easy read
This book is so easy to follow and gives a wealth of information. Anyone starting out in the virtual world should read this.

Lots of details, but overview - top to down is missing
My expectation from a good textbook or technical guide is that it first explains the main concepts and abbreviations and only after that goes in to the details. This kind of structure is missing from the book. The details themselves are well explained.

Good book for someone wishing to get into the VMWare ...
Good book for someone wishing to get into the VMWare Vsphere virtualization. The only issue I have with this book is that it is a bit old and out of date (talks about VSphere 4.3 while version 6.5 is out now).

Excellent "get right into it" book
I bought this as I was thrown in the deep end with a project and had minimal knowledge of VMware etc.I found it excellent for this purpose, and it delved just deep enough to also be a technical reference. For detail and any special commands I now know what to look up.
