Menu Cool Breather 4680089 Decanting Carafe

An ideal solution f you like white wine but do not always have the space in the fridge to chill the bottle. Also useful if you fancy a bottle of white Wine at short notice. Just ensure that you keep the chiller section in the freezer when not in use.

This is such a great idea and is a nice, stylish decanter for white wine. Unfortunately, it barely makes a difference to the temperature (can sort of keep it cool on the table but won't take room-temperature wine to serving temperature as claimed) and most worryingly, has extremely thin glass! The glass is thinner than even my very finest lead crystal glasses. How do I know this? Because it shattered in my hand whilst only shaking warm water inside it to clean it. I received an immediate refund though :-)If it were made more durable (like the Menu red wine decanter I also own) then this could have been a great product but it is waaaaay too fragile to be of any use to anyone.

The description says that it cools your wine, but it doesn't. Seemed like a good idea but really no better than any other cheap wine cooler. It is very expensive for a carafe and also has quite thin glass so it won't have a long life. The design is pretty dumb when you think about it. The surface area of the cool stick is small. After the ice in contact with the stick's internal surface melts, the ice clearly keeps the melted water in the stick cool! That is it. It has very little impact on cooling a bottle of unchilled wine. It keeps a bottle of chilled wine cool but any wine cooler will do that. Waste of money.

Sono un fan del brand Menu, i loro sono sempre oggetti minimali ma funzionali.Possedevo già altre versioni di questo decanter e ho deciso di aggiungere questa per tenere freschi i vini bianchi senza annacquarli.La trovo una soluzione elegante ma semplice nell'utilizzo e nella pulizia.Consigliato.

Wir trinken gern ein gutes Glas Wein und haben nach einer eleganten Variante Ausschau gehalten, wie man Wein auch ohne klassischen Weinkühler kaltstellen kann.Mein Mann kam dann auf die Menu Cool Breather Dekantierkaraffe, die beim Umzug verschollen gegangen ist.Die Handhabung ist so einfach und klassisch, wie das Design. Man füllt den Kühlstab mit Wasser und lagert ihn im Gefrierschrank. Nachdem man den Wein mit dem mitgelieferten Aufsatz umgefüllt hat, muss man nur den Kühlstab einsetzen. Nun hat man, egal zu welcher Jahreszeit, immer kühlen Wein auf dem Tisch.Die Karaffe sieht zusätzlich noch schick aus und ist auch bei Besuch ein absoluter Hingucker.Sie passt einfach überall hin!Durch das langsame hineinlaufen des Weines in die Karaffe, schmeckt der Wein noch vollmundiger.Die einfach Reinigung (Geschirrspülertauglich) und die gute Verarbeitung machen das Gesamtbild perfekt.Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen!

Me regalaron de la misma marca para vino tinto y compre este para el blanco, me parece una magnifica idea para mantener tu vino blanco fresco, sin necesidad de cubiteras. Tu botella tiene que estar previamente enfriada, mantiene el frío, no enfría.

La carafe en verre est assez épaisse, donc ne se cassera pas trop facilement si l’on en prend soin....la partie réfrigérée est en métal et donc incassable ce qui facilite l’utilisation, il suffit de la mettre au congélateur après chaque utilisation et c’est pret pour la fois suivante. C’est super pratique et vraiment efficace. J’adore cette carafe qui est plus est joliment design....très utile pour le rose en été...
