Excellent customer service from Body Solid
A solidly made piece of equipment that comes very close to mimicking the original Bullworker which I purchased some 40 odd years ago. The internal Spring is a little stronger than the original just making me more determined to flex it. The hand grips on the end of the tubes are smaller than the original but manageable. I waited a little while for mine to arrive but I was kept up todate with delivery schedule and the equipment arrived on the scheduled day, well done. Inclusion of a case was a nice touch. Mine arrived with the strength level indicators missing. I didn't expect to be supplied with them as I thought I would have to contact another country; the reason for the longish wait from order to receipt, so I thought. I did however complete a short review itemising the missing parts. No one can be more surprised than me to, open my front door and find a jiffy bag from Body Solid which actually contained 4 of the missing indicators ( ie 2 spare). I was surprised on two levels: a) my review had been read and understood b) action had been taken to correct the problem without me contacting anyone directly. I consider this excellent service and the items were posted out from a business centre in North Weald in this country. So in summary full marks to Body Solid for coming to my rescue even though I didn't contact them directly. As I have no outstanding problems and the equipment is very well made a 5 star is well deserved.

Successor to the Bullworker X5
This is (originally) a Bullworker India "Super-4" model, resold through Body-Solid UK, and is also identical to the older Rio Power, Bodi-Tek Power Worker and US Bully Xtreme models. It uses three steel tubes in the same basic design as the original Bullworker X5's one steel and two plastic tubes. Where it differs is in that it uses a traditional plastic coated steel cable as opposed to the double canvas straps of the X5, the internal springs are slightly stronger, and it doesn't compress as fully as an X5 (but it compresses as much as you need all the same). The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it is less smooth in function than a "genuine" Bullworker but it still gets the job done well. It feels very robust. The current US Bullworker S3 aluminium tubed Classic and Steel Bow models cost £250 and £230, whereas this currently costs £80 (or £104 from Body-Solid UK). So excellent value!

Excellent
Excellent product, bought to replace my old bullworker which 'died' several years ago. That said, it makes a noise when being compressed which, I HOPE, does not mean that in time the springs or wires etc give way. If they do I will report back here as I have only had it a week. The accompanying chart s clear. The measurements are clear. The case is adequate. So, all fine and it is NOT too hard to compress or to hold like a bow and arrow. You are supposed to use 60-70% of energy so any movement as a start.I am going to use it for ten days and then see if the same shirts feel tighter...I had forgotten that this review had not been updated! It is now two years later. I must admit I became lazy and stopped using it - it's difficult. BUT 3 months ago I started again and follow a routine. 9 minutes ONLY every day.My God!!! You push yourself in this and it is tiring! Even at 60-70% it's tricky. I STILL cannot move it when held behind the back. After just 9 minutes I feel the effects all day.I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

Over 50 years old and still going strong!
I still have one of the original Bullworkers that is now over 50 years old - it is a bit rusty and creeks and groans more than I do. I thought that it was time to get a replacement and this Heavy Duty Press Exerciser looked up to the job.Ordering was simple and the unit arrived a few days later, so five stars for customer service so far. Slightly slimmer and not as heavy as the original but still more than capable of raising a sweat and giving even the well-muscled a good workout and ideal if you want to tone and build muscles without having to spend hours in a sweaty gym feeling inferior to all the muscle-bound hulks around you.The accompanying wallchart has more exercises than the training manual of the original but as a consequence the pictures are a bit on the small side and the guy chosen for the photos has a naff hair style that might make you cringe but these are the only faults that I can find with this excellent product.Get into shape in a few weeks in the comfort of your own home and all for less than 50 quid!

Even then I was still quite fit and could push the handles in and do most of the exercises quite reasonablywell and have made quite good progress over the last few years
I bought the original Bullworker in 1969 and I started re-using it about four years ago when I was 69 years of age. Even then I was still quite fit and could push the handles in and do most of the exercises quite reasonablywell and have made quite good progress over the last few years. However I mislaid the bullworker and thought I would buy a new one. I really should have read the details of this a little bit more carefully! When it says "heavy duty" it means what it says. Compared to the previous one this is far harder to compress and I do struggle with some of the exercises. However I have persevered and I feel much better for doing the exercises. My concluding remark is that unless you are reasonably strong and fit I would avoid this piece of equipment. You will find it quite difficult to operate.
