Brave story about Emma's abuse
This book showed an insight into the dark world of child sexual exploitation and how can happen to any vulnerable young person. It gave a true understanding of why these girls are exploited and the fear they feel for themselves and their families that send them back to the perpetrators. It was not her fault or that of the parents and that's what makes cases like this so difficult to go to court the negativity that the family must be to blame rather than the perpetrators. Some of the negative reviews are from those that still after reading don't get it. A book like this should not be called boring or not a pageturner - it is not a dramatisation it is this young persons story. Also for someone to say that she should at least get cash for the book. This young lady works and campaigns for the cause and she is very brave and to write her experiences down must have been so traumatic for her.

Well written sensitive subject
Just goes to show that girls from ALL backgrounds are at risk, know the signs, keep your eyes peeled and if you suspect something contact one of the agencies in the book, social services, police, dont just think its not your business we need to keep our children safe

Shocking read
A sad true story about a teenager who got drawn into an awful child sex exploitation ring. She managed finally to turn her life around, but a shocking read and that even coming from a happy loving home, you are not immune to this terrible crime

i think sometimes we have to take responsibility for our own actions
after reading this book i was a little confused and bewildered, what these asian muslim men done to this girl was disgusting, but what i can not understand why nobody was charged and put away, lets be honest 13 year old girl and a grown man, but what spooked me the most was that after these so called rapes she decides to phone up another asian who hung around the guy that raped and guess what? she was raped again this time by six men, i think is all seriousness no matter what the age we all know what is right and wrong, she made a decision which lets be honest was partly her doing, and why write this book when she has already wrote her story, sorry i feel for the horrendous things that were forced upon you but we need also to look at our selves and take responsibility, and to me no criminal convictions leaves a very bad taste in my mouth because she had the evidence, whether she agreed to the sex or not these asian men abused a child now they are still loose and maybe abusing other young kids and by her actions of dropping the charges she has put other vunerable children at risk while these men roam our streets, how then can she claim to be helping others when by her actions she has put more children in danger of abuse by not having these men convicted

Powerful read
Great to see Emma has gone public with what happened to her and is continuing to ensure CSE is on everyone's minds. I bought the book after I listened to Emma speaking at a conference I wanted to know more about her story. When she was talking you could hear a pin drop. The book also emphasised it's not just the children you think are vulnerable that are exposed to this risk.

Very informative and show's how grooming manifests
I think schools should teach the essence of danger of grooming from a young age ..to warn children of the danger in wolves in sheeps clothing. Highlight and inform

Hard hitting and frank recollection of experience
Very interesting and hard hitting book around the subject of child sexual exploitation and Emma's experience. I have seen Emma speaking about her experiences which is very moving, great for raising awareness about this horrendous abuse of young people.

Shocking true story
A brilliant read but very distressing for Emma and her family. As a professional working with a range of vulnerable women, sexual exploitation is one area in my remit and this really helped to see it all from the girls perspective. I will never fail to be horrified by stories such as these yet impressed by the sheer strength of how she has re-built her life.A must read
