I’m really not one to leave reviews, but I took a chance on this attachment and it has done everything that it’s supposed to.I have a dyson v11. The soft roller attachment that dyson sells I believe is over $100. This attachment has working lights so you can see everything on your hardwood floors.I have two shihtzus and a lab puppy. They track in dirt, there’s dog hair tumbleweeds that show up sometimes. This has made it a breeze to get it all up, versus using my regular vacuum attachment that my Dyson has.Before my regular vacuum attachment was getting up all the hair on the floor, but I was speculating that it wasn’t getting up all the dirt and dust that accumulates.Definitely a game changer. I would recommend it for the price. Absolutely a game changer.Also, I can’t say much about the little free attachment to suck air out of storage bags. I’m sure it’s also wonderful. Plus, it’s for a little animal face on it. I’m a sucker for cute things.

I thought my dyson v10 animal was inferior to my previous v6, but it turns out the vacuum head that comes with it is only really good for carpet! I looked at the OEM hard floor heads and couldn’t believe they wanted $90-100 for it! After scouring all the listings I could find, I settled on this one. Not only does it clean my floors well, the lights at the front are excellent for finding dust and dirt under furniture or places you might forget to vacuum. It does have a tendency to just push around larger debris, but all you have to do is slightly lift the vacuum and place it right over any chunks it’s having difficulty with and it sucks it right up. The wheels make it very easy to move around, it pretty much propels itself. I bought this specifically for cat litter that other vacuums tend to fling behind, and this does a great job. It’s a third of the price of dyson AND has more features. I can’t speak on the durability yet, as I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but I’ll come back and edit this review if issues arise. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Dont but it, it is not wired properly and will ruin your vacuum. When we first got it, it seemed to work great. It didn't take long before it started turning off the vacuum while we were using it. A spot on the vacuum started getting really hot when we turned it on, which is when we decided to return this head. Now the vacuum no longer works as intended. I am very upset that it ruined my practilly new vacuum. Don't buy it unless you want to have to replace your vacuum too.

I did not have a similar Dyson head previously - so I can't say if this works just like the Dyson intended replacement. I had a Dyson Torque head - so it worked on both carpet and hardwood floors. I knew the details said this was not for carpet - but I was thinking maybe it would still work somewhat. My house is mostly flat surfaces, but I do have a few rugs and I was really hoping this would pick up some of the debris - so I didn't have to get out my regular vacuum so often. That is not the case - it does not pick up anything from my rugs. NOTHING!! (I am not rating this lower due to that, but just want to include in case it's helpful to others).It does pick up really well on my flat surfaces, and the light is an improvement as I can see the pet hair better. I don't feel that the battery time was any different either. The hair gets stuck all up in the head and I have to clean it out after every use. My previous head did not have this issue. So that's extremely annoying.The main issue, and why I'm deducting a star is that it turns so easily - it's a nuisance. Yes, it's lightweight - but in this case, it's so flimsy and moves too much - so much that I work harder/twice as much. It also turns differently than the Dyson head - and not in a good way.In the end, I am going to purchase a Dyson head and the similar model to what I had. I like that the Dyson is heavier and easier to control. Again, I knew going into it that it was not for carpet - but my rugs are flat so was really hoping it would be able to pick up debris on the very top of the rugs. And lastly, the way the head is designed, it has all of this extra room for hair to get stuck up in it (and not go through the wand, into the main chamber).

Our old Dyson 7 hardwood floor head was not rolling properly. This hardwood floor head is amazing. It is soft, rolls extremely easy and has LED lights built in. It works on tile, doesn’t scratch our hardwood and works well on our ruggable carpet. The head fits perfectly on the Dyson and maintains great suction. Very good purchase!
