Not cheap, but the extra expense buys quality.
Very nice, quality utensil. Ideal for patiently honing an old dull blade. With practice produces a far superior result to conventional kitchen drawer knife sharpeners. For best results finish with a leather strop. Mine is used less for kitchen blades, and more for outdoors knives and an axe. But equally good for either case. Just remember to only use cleaned blades and keep the stone dry and clean.

Excellent sharpening stone. Get this and a leather strop and your blades will be shave sharp in no time. It's a lifetime purchase. Much better than cheap Chinese stones.
