To minimize shedding, it is best not to move the wreath once it has been hung. Fresh wreaths are designed to last 2-4 weeks or longer. Some foliage is naturally hardier and will last beyond the season. Weather conditions also play a role in wreath longevity. Mild and cool climates are optimal. Fresh wreaths are made of natural materials without a water source to hydrate them. Therefore, in drier and warmer climates a fresh wreath will have a shorter lifespan than one in a cooler and moist environment.
