Great product
Great for use with palette/pan pastels. Does what they're intended for and last a long time. Much better than any cheap eye-shadow applicator that people try and tell you you can use. If you are using the pastel on anything with a tooth like pastel matt board or on a ground, like a clear gesso or pastel ground then the cheaper versions will deteriorate very quickly in comparison. Worth the price for sure.

Lovely little tools for when working with pan pastels. Good value for money but one of the sponge heads didn't last long at all.......just the one...

Small Sofft Applicators
I ordered these to use with pastels, they arrived well packed and quite quickly. These are ideal for small detailed work, however if you press too hard there is a chance they’ll come loose from the handle as happened to me but I managed to loosen the aluminium, reinsert the applicator and squeeze the aluminium back with a pliers. Overall I’m quite pleased with these they worked well for the small detail I wanted them for. I want to try the bigger block ones next for larger areas.

Painting for the first time using Sofft sponge applicators
Used these small sponge applicators with Pan Pastels for the first time. The painting was started with pastel pencils but I feel encouraged to use Pan pastels with these sponge sticks in future and probably buy the larger sponges for skies for bigger surface coverage.

Expensive, but washable
Very nice tools but oh so expensive. I’ve bought similar ones at a fraction of the price which work as well. The advantage these have is that they can be washed but as they will eventually disintegrate when used on pastelmat paper I don’t think they are worth the price.

Perfect Applicators for Art, especially Panpastels
Perfect little artist applicators, work really well in laying down Panpastels into small areas. Would definitely recommend

These do the job for detailing with my pan pastels, and I find they last longer than the regular tools although they are not so great for large areas. This is the second set I have purchased, Would recommend.
