Hilarious - DO NOT MISS THIS BOOK!
This book had me laughing from the very first page, right through to the end. I was 14% of the way through my kindle edition of this book when I decided I had (HAD) to own the sequel (Jennifer Johnson is sick of being married) and downloaded it immediately. This is an hilariously funny book which details all of the pain and agony of dating and attempting to find that perfect life partner related by a wonderfully realised, extremely witty character. Do NOT MISS this book - I have already recommended this to my book reading group, and all of my friends, single or not. This is a book which will resonate with everyone and at £1.99 on Kindle at the current time, you cannot afford to miss it.

Why aren't there more people who know about this book?
This book had me laughing, crying, giggling, smacking-my-hand-to-my-forhead from the beginning up to the last page. I had my eyes glued to the pages, read it in one sitting and found it incredibly entertaining. Heather McElhatton wrote a book which is filled with so much wit and self-mockery and creates characters that one just has to love. Be aware that this book is not for those who love deep and complicated novels whose sentences all have a second meaning and in which every character has a schizophrenic demeanor. This is a fun and light read and let's be honest- don't we all need that from time to time? All in all I have to say that I fell in love with this book and recommend it to everyone

Brilliant!
I loved Pretty Little Mistakes, and was so looking forward to reading this - I wasn't disappointed, and finished it in an afternoon! The heroine is really likeable and easy to identify with, the situations real - and it's hilarious - a real departure from the usual wimpy heroine happy ever after chick lit offerings out there.

She is a WONDERFUL author!
This arrived very quickly; I was so excited to have another one of her books on hand. I happened to find her 'sick of being married' book in a thrift store, months ago, and couldn't put it down. She's a wonderful author, her story being full of laughs, meaning, and characters to whom you are drawn. Even though I'm reading them in the wrong order, I sure don't mind. After reading her life with Brad, I'm curious what her life was like before Brad? (It's difficult to find great authors-thank you, Heather!)

Good up until the very end
I read chick-lit for light reading, that's fun and leaves me feeling good at the end. Pure escapism. The book delivers on the first two and in fact, excels in a way many other books in this genre don't. Parts are laugh-out loud funny (especially the "lists"), the primary and side characters have enough quirks to make them memorable and the story moves along.Without giving away the ending, it left me thinking "huh? it ends like this?". I even went back to make sure I didn't miss something. While it leaves room for a sequel, it also left me wanting the "girl learns from her mistakes and finds true happiness" ending I expected. Not that a book has to have a happy ending to be good (Gone with the Wind is one of my favorite books). But in this case, it didn't work for me at all.I'm giving this three stars because I did enjoy the book despite the disappointing ending.
