Great memories
I remember, fondly, watching The Spinners on TV during the 70s. They could tell great stories, sing an array of folky songs, and had a lovely sense of hmuour too. This album doesn't quite catch that concert/tv appearance appeal, but the tracks brought back some great memories.

Great CD brings back a lot of memories. If younger than my generation well worth a listen to see what commercial folk was like.
Arrived very quickly. A great compilation of the old songs.I remember the die-hard folk circuits of the day didn't like the Spinners for not being traditional enough and too middle of the road. Hey they sold records in vast amounts and the folk purists disappeared into obscurity,. I know where I would have preferred to have been. Don't get me wrong, I was still a follower of people like Peter Bellamy, The Young Tradition, Dave Swarbrick, Martin Carthy, The Copper Family, The Waterstones etc, etc.etc. \However The Spinners and Jackie and Bridie another Liverpool duo who's records sold were not discussed in any supportive way.

60 minutes of pure plesure
I brought this CD to add a little folk music to my collection and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Having watched and listened to the Spinner during the 60's & 70's I was keen to reminisce. I had forgotten the joy of simple songs simply sung, for me the quality of this music is even better than I remember. I would recommend the Spinners to anyone looking for some music to lighten the day, the songs are not over sung as can be the case with some folk groups (a pure delight).

Absolutely and fundamentally brilliant. They were king. 😊

Memories, Memories!
One tends to forget how good they are. If you like their kind of folk music you will love this. We saw them on stage back in the '80s and they don't come better than this. The music is clear and you can hear every word that is sung. I cannot say that about a great number of the present day tunes! Buy this and have a great evening in with a glass or two to bring back the real nostalgia.

The Spinners (British Group) C.D.
I have been a Spinners fan for a good many years. It is British folk music at its best! Their concerts were always packed out and both the Spinners and their fans had a great time, with lots of audience participation. Their tunes came from around the whole country and it was lively music, the type that lasts for ever. Its a shame the Spinners are not still going but i suppose all good tings have to come to an end.
