This is brilliant product for road bikers
This is brilliant product for road bikers. Very good back view and much safer rides. I just bought it, so can't say whether it get scratches easily or not, but based on the review from others, I always try to make sure it doesn't get scratch.

A very neat product which is straightforward to fit. The view in the little mirrors is wide angle but good enough to see what is happening behind on either side. Much better than trying to look over a shoulder.

Consigliatissimi.

Damaged goods
Both mirrors had scratches on them in the box that didn't buff out. Not great for something new and fairly expensive.Mirror is easy to install, adjust and doesn't vibrate loose. Also gives a good view of traffic.

Exactly what I was looking for
These pretty much do exactly what I wanted. They give me an idea of what is going on behind me so I don't have that "open the cupboard to find a spider" type reaction when a car buzzes by. I wasn't sure how easy they were going to be to get used to since they are on my drop bars, but within 2 days I found myself glancing down at them without even thinking. I do bump them out of position occassionally when I stop or lock up my bike, but that's no biggie. They definitely don't give you the type of rear view you get from car mirrrors, but if you buy the set of two, they have the potential to give you a decent view of what is happening behind you.You also cannot see very far behind you, but I don't ride on roads with speed limits over 35 mph, so these were exactly what I was looking for. I have the luxury of mostly riding on trails and/or roads with two lanes going each direction. I have found the mirrors particularly helpful when I'm the first one in line at a stoplight and a car pulls up behind me with a driver who wants to turn right on red. I'll do my best to inch over a bit so the driver can squeeze by, and hopefully improve the perception of solo cyclists in the eyes of car drivers. As for the group cyclists, those SOBs are on their own!Although these technically qualify as red, you can tell they are more of a reddish-orange when you put them up against a true red.UPDATE [9/20/17]: These mirrors are still going strong. They have a few scratches, but have really held up quite well for plastic mirrors. I also found out, to my surprise and dismay, that they give me better visibility if you put them in the opposite way from what you see in most images. Maybe that's not your cup of tea, but I found it much easier to get a broader view this way, and I won't be going back to installing them the "correct" way. The attached picture is how they look today.UPDATE [11/9/2019]: Even after 6 years, these are still in amazing shape. I can't even imagine riding without them anymore. Going to build a new bike next year, and will definitely be getting another pair.
