RIVA Arena Power Pack Rechargeable Battery for RIVA ARENA Speaker (Black)

Although it is not clear, this Battery Pack is for both the Arena and the new Alexa Concert RIVA Speakers. Personally I feel it's a bit pricey but it seems all quality rechargable batteries are, (my Panasonic Lumix Batteries are another example).You won't get 20 hours from it on your Riva Concert, more like 12-15. Here is the secret, because when the RIVA Concert is on, it's always connected to your WiFi and Internet so it's always listening and running behind the scene. This will shorten the Battery Life. So when you want to use the Battery just power the unit off when you are done listening and you'll get between 12-15 hours per charge. That's what I am experiencing. A call to RIVA Support confirmed this.My only MINOR issue is the only way to Charge the Battery is by having it attached to the RIVA Speaker. I wish it had a separate charging connector so I could remove the battery and charge it inside. I keep this speaker outside on my deck and it's a bit of a pain to have to move the whole thing to an outlet to charge it. Again minor but I felt you should know. I did know this before I purchased it so obviously it was not deal breaker.Bottom Line, if you want portability and the convenience of listening to your RIVA Arena/Concert wherever you want, get this battery.

You need this to go with the Riva. Just wish the original Riva came with one - 1 star for the extra cost.

Love the battery life, but securely attaching to Riva device is a bit more difficult than you'd expect

Works great even though my speaker is black. So what. These originally sold by Riva for $100, so excellent purchase.

This battery is completely worthless - the run time on it - assuming you can even connect to speaker itself - see review of speaker - is woefully poor. it is expensive and if it worked for more than 20 min, even be worth it. unfortunately it doesn't. LOOK AT OTHER OPTIONS than Riva Arena

The speaker has no power on/off switch. Ridiculous! Or else I'm missing something. So in order to turn it off I seem to have to detach the battery from the speaker AND unplug the speaker from the wall outlet. Nowhere on the Riva website do I see any information about powering the speaker or battery pack on/off. So dumb!

Works perfectly. Holds a charge for hours and hours.

A little pricey, but working as expected.
