love to BBQ! Who doesn't? But are you placing yourself at risk carrying briquettes that are already doused in lighter fluid or carry lighter fluid in your car? Summer temperatures are hot and even more so in your car. I will not risk driving around with BBQ briquettes doused in lighter fluid nor carry a container of lighter fluid in my car because of the extreme heat in cars. Perhaps I am wrong, nothing will happen but for peace of mind, I would rather carry dry briquettes, some newspaper and this item in my car! Then, when I am ready to BBQ, I introduce all three elements together to start a fire. This item works great! It is a safe way to travel. I usually spend the day at the beach with family and friends leaving my BBQ equipment in the car until the later evening. But I do not have one concern of safety because I know I am being safe. Cautious, yes I am!
