Trash product
I bought these and trusted a Cisco switch to them. They snapped and my switch went tumbling to the floor. Using good quality cage nuts is all you need, if you still habr trouble use a tool. It's not hard and your expensive equipment won't tumble to the floor

Very quick
My only problem is that HP couldn't tell me the gauge of the rail on my new server racks. So when I got to Korea, I was bummed to find out that the RED didn't fit. I've purchased the BLUE and will try them out next week. My recommendation is to buy the sample pack and try them out on the exact rack you plan on using them on.... don't guess.

Great concept, poor quality control in molding process.
These studs work very well if they were made properly. As seen from the pictures, the red ones have the threads lining up correctly while the blue units have the threads misaligned due to mold cavities not being located correctly. I just happen to be in the tooling industry so I see what happened here. This error makes it impossible to use these studs unless you chase the thread with a die (which I had to do). An unnecessary step for the consumer that also rips up and cross threads the stud.

Good for its usecase
It says right on the bag not to use these for heavier devices, so if you read other reviews that dock it on that point... uhh.. try reading the instructions first? These things made mounting my network switches so, so much quicker than trying to fit racknuts, which is a real pain on the fingers. They click right into place, affix the washer and the switch just pops right on them. I'll use these for mounting my networking gear from now on.

No More Pinched Fingers & Cut Knuckles
I hate cage nuts and these Rack studs are freaking amazing everything can be tightened with my hands and I don't need to worry about carrying cage nut removers or pinching my fingers. recommended 100%

These things are awesome for some rack uses
These things are awesome for some rack uses. I use them wherever I can. I do not think I would trust them for shipping heavier rack gear mounted in the rack.

Two Stars
Did not work for us. Also, agree that would not use for heavy equipment.

Thankful there is a sample pack
I bought the sample pack, and tried them out. They probably would do well, but I didn't have a lot of confidence in them over time. The plastic is pretty brittle and I snapped one while trying to remove it. Also when placing a switch on there it puts a lot of "bending" pressure on the bolt and I'm not confident it would take repeated installations and removals well over time. Finally, if you have a small hand drill, it's still a lot quicker and more secure to use cage nuts and the screws compared to this. I found that depending on what you are installing, turning the thumb part was difficult because you sometimes don't have a lot of room to fit your fingers. It seems like a very niche product that would likely work for some, but I won't be using these for my workbench rack, and definitely not for anything in our datacentre.Giving it 4 stars, because I think it's great that the company provides a sample pack to try them out and size them correctly. I'm happy buying the sample pack for the price it is, and save me having to buy the 100 pack and then try and return them.

Extremely difficult to use
I am very glad that I only orded a sample of these. They where extremely difficult to get into the rack as the clearances is minimal and to get them out I had to completely destroy them as they are not easy to remove whatsoever. They seemed like an awesome idea but when in had to get pliers to insert and remove them I think that says enough
