Cool
Jumped back into this series, struggled to finish Shadows but this side story was actually better than the last two. I enjoy it.

Cyber is another companion story to the Game is Life series, and was an enjoyable diversion from the main storyline on Tygon.
"It is likely that the small group will continue to prosper even as this system dies. This is not the first time a grand shift has occurred."Cyber is another companion story to the Game is Life series, and was an enjoyable diversion from the main storyline on Tygon. We have a new cast of characters in a new world, but this book ties in nicely with the non-Tygon storylines and what was introduced in the Shadows in a hilariously meta fashion. Everything is connected, and the Cooper we saw (slightly aged) makes an appearance in this storyline - was what he averted something that will correct his wrongs? Or is it something unrelated?A good number of things regarding the greater picture of the world came into focus with this installment, and it definitely sets the stage for Fragmented. The two companion books definitely provide what is likely necessary backstory for future installments of the series. Another world has been introduced, motivations introduced in Shadows were given more context, and I can see these plotlines being a main focus. This is getting intricately complex, but Schott has proven that he has the talent to weave a compelling, thought provoking interconnected story universe. The pacing for this book is great and in line with the rest of the series, barring book 6. I am hoping that was a one-off fluke, but I am starting to feel like things may continue to get more complicated as the series progresses with little to know resolution. I feel like the first four books in the series had a good balance of introducing new elements to keep things moving forward with resolving some of the many plots introduced.

4 star rating for good solid writing, plot, characters...
Still in the Game Is Life world, way back when... very interesting peek into the history of the more current characters of the earlier books in the series... this could be a never-ending series that I'll continue to read as long as the author pens them!It is highly recommended that you read as many of the previous books as you can before reading this, to best appreciate the subtleties and humble beginnings of some of the more powerful characters of the series. But remember this is a novella, so don't get all up in arms because it is so short!"Cyber" is a short piece to whet your appetite for new novels in the series. The plot is quite convoluted and there is a very strong sense of irony throughout. Enjoy! Nothing is ever as it seems, in this world!4 star rating for good solid writing, plot, characters.

Another Excellent visit to the Game is Life Multiverse
Spoiler Free Review:Terry Schott has once again delivered a thought provoking look into the Game is Life "Universe" (More like a multiverse!). If you have ready any of the previous stories in this series, you will be drawn into this one as with the others, and still be surprised by the twists he puts into this novel! The writing style is very fluid and easily read, and draws you into the book.As others have said, there are a lot of little details that come out and make this novel more intriguing if you have read Shadows first, and I wholeheartedly agree with them. I will add that there are details in this book that draw out even more "aha's" if you have read every book in The Game is Life multiverse.I highly recommend this and everything written by Terry Schott, as he is an incredible author and has amazing stories to share with us!

When I first started reading, I found the referrals to the other books kind of annoying and seemed like a "plug" to go read all of the other ones. However, as I continued reading, it started to make a lot more sense. It still seems a little weird - hence 4 stars instead of 5 - but I still very much enjoyed the book. Finished it in less than a day! Can't wait for the next one!I also loved having a strong female lead. It was a nice "break" from the rest of The Game stories where the lead bounces between Trew, Danielle, and Brandon. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE The Game stories!!!) It's good to hear from the perspective of a powerful woman.

Another gem by Terry
Our whole family really enjoyed this book like all the others set in the Game universe (we read them out loud during family reading time). Terry has once again delivered with a story full of excitements, intrigue and a bit of heart break. If you have read the game is life series this is another gem but read Shadows before this so you don't miss anything. For those that haven't, you will find yourself forced to go back to try to "catch up" (good luck, easy and fun reads but leaves you with as many questions as answers and thirsting for more). Our family is definitely dyeing for more.

I am hooked on this Author!
Terry continues to write like the big hit authors. He is book by book creating a sprawling epic that could certainly be a TV or Movie series one day. This book starts to piece together some of the mystery that has left you hanging in the other novels. Brilliant piece of authoring Terry enjoyed it immensely.

WOW, just wow
If you've found your way here and haven't yet read The Game then make that a MUST DO!That book sets the scene for this amazing series of books and this one just adds another lot of jaw dropping reading. This book and all the other books in this series get 5stars every time as the quality of story, characters, interlinking with each other is AMAZING. you will want to re-read them all again, that's how good the author is. Highly recommended to you.
