New Type of Wireless
The media could not be loaded. Introducing the Comica Vimo-C Mini Mic System. It is very easy to use. Let's unbox this unit by taking out its little case and user manual. It's a nice little case and in this case you have a charging case, which has our microphones as well. And you have a bunch of accessories. Two cables, one for plugging into a camera and one for plugging into a smartphone. Another unusual cable, in that this little cable has a USB-C on one end that plugs into the the receiver. And then you can plug a headphone into it and also charge it at the same time with a USB-C port here. Also there's a supplied USB-C cable for plugging into that if you want to. And you have two windmuffs that are very useful outdoors. These dead cats work quite well.Open up and you'll see immediately you see the charge level of the case. That's right, this case has a charge to it. And when you pull out the microphone it automatically comes on and goes from red to blue. Take out the receiver and the other microphone. You'll see now everything is paired. It's that simple. These are solid blue and you can see the level on the receiver itself on each of the microphones. There is microphone A and there is microphone B.The receiver have a volume control as well. And it shows the charge level and you can change the mode on it from mono to stereo and safety track and back to mono. Now to take one of these units like this receiver it has a clip on the back of it and you just slide it into the camera hot shoe. And then I'll grab the cable to plug into the receiver and then I can plug that into the camera mic port. And now I can, you can see that these microphones are already ready to go.The battery life according to Comica is eight hours on these little transmitters as well as the receiver and they can be charged in the case. It is a USB-C case and it has a battery in it as well. But you can also charge the transmitters with the USB-C port on the bottom of it as well independently or together. And now I can plug in headphones if I want to into this unit with that special cable. And as you can see that these units pair very nicely. If I push the button on the transmitter it goes red. That's muting. If I hold it in it'll turn the unit off. And if I turn it back on it will repair itself. These little units are quite small. The mic is on the top of it. On one side here there is nothing and on the other side you have the power button and mute button. Also on this you unit see the unit turn from blue to green. Green means that the mic is now in the DSP mode for noise reduction and then blue is non-noise reduction or just standard. Also to put the little fuzzy windscreen on the top. You just push it on the top of the microphone. Now it is on the microphone. You can see you can adjust the receiver level with buttons on the side. So if you click on the orange button on the other side it says safety. And so with my camera I would want to leave both of these on volume one.Now I'm going to plug my headphones into the adapter and I can hear it very nicely. And I can hear the mics on my headphones. And so this is definitely working quite nicely using this as a headphone adapter plugged into the receiver. And we'll just move the camera out of the way and bring in the charging case and drop the receiver into the charging case. We'll drop the transmitter and the other transmitter into the charging case. And then the light comes on showing that it's ready to charge these microphones. And then of course if I want to charge the charging case I just plug in my USB-C adapter and plug the other end of this cable into an AC adapter or into a power bank.It is a quite easy system to use. It's quite simple. It's has a cute little charging case for it. The Vimo C from Comica is a very very nice inexpensive little mic system that is very very easy to use.

Excellent sounding, and highly recommended wireless clip on microphones
These microphones are impressively versatile, delivering excellent sound quality, long battery life, and reliable performance. The plastic housing and clip are functional but feel somewhat lightweight and delicate, so I’ve taken extra care when attaching the microphones. So far, this hasn’t caused any issues. The rectangular mic housing is slightly more noticeable compared to a small capsule with a belt pack, but its all-in-one design makes it incredibly convenient to use. Sound quality is excellent, transmission range is impressive, and the batteries easily last for several hours. The included carrying case with built-in recharging functionality adds even more convenience.Using a microphone system like this can dramatically improve the audio quality of your productions compared to relying on the built-in microphones in your phone or camera. This kit includes a variety of cables, making it easy to connect to most cameras or phones with a 3.5mm plug. For those primarily using smartphones, there’s another version of this microphone system designed specifically for that purpose. For an affordable wireless microphone system, this unit performs exceptionally well and is an excellent choice for hobbyist content creators seeking reliable, high-quality audio and ease of use.

Overall a great microphone, just not for me.
The set was nice, in-the-case charging was what drew me too it; also it wasn't my first Comica product so I had good expectations, which quality wise did not disappoint. The mics sounded great, and worked right out of the package. However, I am using a Canon XA60 camcorder and the receiver would not separate mics into separate channels. The set allows for 3 different modes, MONO, STEREO, and SAFETY. Both mics broadcast on the left and right channels regardless of mode selection; so, when hooked to the XA60 MIC input both mics were mixed to channel 1 and channel 2 and could not be separated from each other.I have scheduled these for return, and already ordered the Comica BoomX-D2 Pro set, so that even if the receiver doesn't separate the left and right to the different mics, at least I will have the separate audio tracks from the built-in recording feature. If your needs are simpler, and having the audio mixed doesn't matter to you, then this set is a bargain. In my opinion, Comica products give you near-professional quality at a budget price.Even though this set didn't meet my needs, I am sticking with the brand, because Comica has alot of great options that will get me what I am looking for at a reasonable price.
