Be Complete (Colossians): Become the Whole Person God Intends You to Be

My small group loves these studies.

I mistakenly bought Wiersbe's other Colossians study book. I'd recommend sticking with this one - one of his "BE" series. Using it in a women's Bible study..questions for discussion are good, some personal..Highly recommend!

First of all, I got this book when it was offered free on daily cheap reads, I'm pretty sure I would not have paid $10 for it. I've enjoy many of Mr. Wiersbe's books and this was no exception. Although I've read the bible completely, I can't say that Paul's letters to the Colossians had any special impact on me, other that saying the were well written and inspirational. Having them broken down and explained made them more understandable and gave me an ah-ha moment. Reading about the circumstances of Paul's life during his imprisonment was awe inspiring and that he was able to accomplish so much by writing to the church and its members was definitely cause for wonder and understanding. No matter what happened to him, he put God first - God is all and he lived and breathed it.The teaching and information provided in this book was clear and easily understood in context with the bible. If you are trying to improve your knowledge and clarity on what God's plan is, you will definitely gain a clearer insight from the book - I know I did.

I just finished using this commentary (preached for 10 months on the book Colossians) along with 10 others on the book of Colossians. Of the 10 commentaries this one was the most useful and practical, and the least technical.Warren Wiersbe does 5 things exceptionally well:1) He writes in a concise and clear manner.2) He is a master outliner and alliterator of the key points of each passage.3) He helps you understand the passage by brining out it's simplicity and essence.4) He uses a plethora of quotes and illustrations to make the key truths memorable.5) He makes many pointed applications that are at times very convicting, and other times encouraging, and at all times practical and useful.I have never been disappointed with any of the "Be" books written by Wiersbe - this one on Colossians is one of his best because he really brings out the centrality of Christ as the key theme of the book, who is the one we declare, defend, and demonstrate as the only source of hope for the world.

All Christians should take the time to study the book of Colossians. It is a wonderful reminder that we are complete in Christ alone. Wiersbie's commentary was a good read-along while studying Colossians. He pointed out a lot of historical context to give better understanding of the text.

Warren Wiersbe study is comprehensive and thoughtful. He shares a lot of information that is backed up by scripture. The reflection questions at the end of the chapter brings the information forward as you have an opportunity to apply the lessons learned to your life. Our Lord is amazing. I thank God for his ministry and insight. I recommend his series for anyone that loves the word of God. It is time well spent.

I know exactly who I am in Christ. How loved I am in Christ and who I belong to with the help of this study through Colossians. Thank you Mr. Wiersbe. I pray that all who read the Book of Colossians is as blessed.

Excellent book. Really good little study help.

Great read and great guide to help study through the book of Colossians. Especially appreciate the review questions provided at the end of each chapter to help summarize and practically apply Gods word. I used this for my personal study however I do see the benefit in studying with others in a small group with discussions.

An excellent Bible study that offers insight and help to the serious believer of our generation. Highly recommended.
