Great price, sturdy press
This is a well made kitchen sized press specifically purchased to press Apple Cider from ground Apples and it works perfectly. It is not recomended for pressing whole Apples, so they have to go through a grinder or food processor first. This press would work fine for whole grapes, cheeries, anything like that.Cast iron parts, beautiful hardwood slats, tray and pressplate with a large solid screw. Comes fully assembled. It also came with a 1/2 pt. of food friendly polyurethane and even a brush to seal the wood before use. Most excellent, beautiful little press. Great cider too! ... now if I let it go "hard" and toss in some yeast and a little extra sugar, build a still, why I could ... ya know? Can you say "Apple Jack"?

bad product
I purchased the Jeffery Tabletop Fruit Press with great expections, however it fell short of what it is advertised. I read the instructions twice, then tried to press out some ripe grapes. I put the grapes in a nylon bag put the press on top of the grapes. when I turned the press down on the grapes they came out on top of the press, with very little juice running out. I then tied the bag up and put press on top, I evened tried it with out the bag got the same result. After about an hour of worrying with it I had about a quart of juice. I have had thoughts of burning the wood and selling the metel for junk.

don't waste your money it is junk
This was a piece of junk. It arrived with everything it was supposed to preassembled but everything was loose, the barrel did not sit level in the base. After having to place washers in it to prevent the screww from flopping all around I pressed some chunked up very ripe peaches, all stones removed. I got through a little over a bushel picked it up by the frame to move it to the sink for cleaning and part of the"Sturdy metal frame" snapped in half.after this huge disappointment I purchased a slightly larger press at the home brew store for $20 more than this one cost and it works great save yourself some headache and moneySTAY AWAY FROM THIS PRESS

worked great
This was easy to set up and use. I coated it with the enclosed sealant, let it dry thoroughly, then used it to press crushed pears. The juice drained correctly through the supplied tube into my container. I fermented the juice to make hard pear cider - came out surprisingly good!

Works great
We just pressed 6 gallons of apple cider. The press with a bag works great. Well made and easy to use. The cider came out tasting wonderful. We can hardly wait 'til it ferments and hardens.
