PERFECT!
Promises 8 ports of super gigabit connectivity--✔4 of them have full PoE too!!!--✔Worked first time with no fuss? --✔Powers IP Cams over 90M of dodgy cat5 with several back to back joining blocks?--✔PERFECT.Some PoE devices have proprietary standards and get 'fussy' this seems totally by-the-book and has been fine with everything I have tested. Tough build, great device!Nice to buy a critical piece of kit and have it work so well that it fades from your 'worry list' entering a big project, and a great price to cap it all

Ideal, fit for purpose
As an IT professional of 25 years, I've had a wide range of infrastructure equipment from minor to major networks. D-link are a known brand in the mid-range cost market. This product does as described - suitable for purpose and have identified no quirks or issues. As it's unmanaged, no setup required and non-IT users would also be easy to install this product.

Good Value Item
The first thing to note is that only 4 of the 8 ports support POE - the other 4 are just standard ethernet ports. It's important to realise this before purchasing. The PSU is a 48 volt item, so be very careful not to plug it into any other devices by mistake, of you may blow them up! I have the connector on mine very clearly labelled.Build is robust (metal case) and it works very well. I've had no problems in operation.I have 3 IP cameras connected to mine, and they work perfectly, even with IR active. My personal preference would be to have the PSU integrated into the router and just use a kettle lead to power it (making it easier to use a UPS) even if the case needed to be larger to accommodate it but this is the only real irritation. If you need a router with 4 POE ports, this should be near the top of your list.

Working well with Ring Elite stick up cam
I bought this to connect some ring elite stick up cams. The first one went straight in but I struggled with the second. I left them both connected and had dinner. When I came back after dinner they were both working so I can only assume that it takes a while to find the right poe voltage. I have a Samsung TV, desktop pc, 2 IP cams all working fine with no buffering etc

Very well priced, well built PoE+ switch currently for less than PoE switch money.
Replaced a broken TP-Link Poe switch. This hub looks good so far. It's PoE+ Gigabit for less than the price of most other brand PoE Gigabit switches (£42 at time of review).I also have various Netgear PoE switches, and this one seems to function no differently (aside from the PoE+ ability). It is currently powering two Reo-Link PoE cameras with no problemWill update longer term if reliability proves to be a problem.Update December 2019: I've been sufficiently impressed by this, that I've bought a second one. Form factor wise, it's a bit bigger than the Netgear equivalent. However given the price and extra feature of PoE+, I think this is certainly better value.Update March 2020: I bought a 3rd one of these, and all 3 are running without any problems.

Unmanaged Gigabit PoE plug 'n Play goodness
Purchased as a Black Friday amazon warehouse deal to help expand my home network and I needed PoE to power my Grandstream VoIP phone too.It required NO setup configuration, I just plugged the "Incoming" data CAT6 ethernet cable into the far right port (number 8), plugged the VoIP phone into one of the yellow marked "PoE" port to power it and plugged the 3 PC's in the home office into the non-PoE gigabit ports... and everything worked out of the box.The VoIP phone only runs at 100 megabit, so the port light for that one flickers orange, the rest all give me full 1000mbps throughput... now I just need to upgrade my broadband package again to take advantage of the bandwidth!--Alec

Probably 48V - certainly doesn't appear to be 24V
Took a punt as one of the reviews suggesting one of these is working well with Access Points and IP Cameras. Wouldn't power up any of my access points or cameras, so assuming it's not 24V as mine require that. Nothing wrong with the product, it's just unfortunate if you search for "gigabit PoE 24v switch" this will (or would at the time) come up as a recommended item. Beware, if that's what you searched for, this may not be for you. Returned to Amazon and have tried to let them know it's coming up as a wrong search item.

DGS 1008P IS 60 WATTS POE TOTAL
The DGS 1008P is 60 Watts, I bought this in February 2020 for under £40. Currently it is powering an AP 903 from Draytek and is connected to a 2862 and a PS5 via the non poe ports. The ports are sadly not POE+ they are POE x 4 for a total of 60 watts (~15 per port). It's been a solid plug and play peformer for almost 5 years. But my poe needs has increased so needing around 80 Watt POE switch to power 2x 1000C APs which require 19.2 per POE connection from POE source and the AP 903 (16 Watts max power indicated on label - spec list on draytek's website indicates max power of 12 watts) so hitting 53 Watts not accounting for any transient spikes. I am considering switch to Ubiquiti as the POE power requirements are lower. So imagine my short lived joy when I thought I found a 80 Watt version at a decent price... only to notice it's the same damn 60 Watt switch I already have ergo the review. Two other reviewers have mentioned it's 60 Watts not 80. The D link specs datasheet also confirms it's a 60 Watt POE total switch.
