The artwork alone is worth the purchase. She is an incredible artist and each page is just stunning!!!

I loved the story, little song and the illustrations. The children loved it as well. I especially liked how food harvesting and intergenerational learning were portrayed.

A beautifully written and illustrated story about a little girl and her grandmother foraging by the sea. Already a Caldecott Medalist for her previous illustrations, Michaela Goade writes and illustrates this story of a family carrying on the ways of their Tlingit ancestors. The rhythm of the writing is exquisite. My granddaughter Alice loves it! Especially the part about berries: “lingonberry, raspberry…” I’m buying this book for all the kids in my life!
