Excellent gadget
So, this unpicker has a magnifier and a light. The magnifier works well on its own but put together with the light - it's marvellous. That and the fact that the cutting edge on the unpicker is sharp as can be makes this a perfect tool. I know what I'll be buying my Mom and Nan for Christmas. This is a great gadget and it'll make a great present.

Good gadget, with one defect
Good gadget, but I'm docking one star because the swivel function doesn't lock - it's quite loose and it doesn't stick in the position you put it in. I thought it was just mine with this problem, but a friend bought another one and it has the same problem.We both ended up wrapping some sellotape around the join, which is not ideal. However, it's really good to unpick stitches that are hard to see!

This is such an handy gadget, comes with battery’s.....light and magnifying glass work great well worth the price I would definitely recommend.

Fourth one I've bought
Love this, I bought one for myself, I was mending a pair of black trousers, I had to unpick black stitching - using this it was so easy with the light & magnifier. I have bought 3 more as presents for other sewers, all amazed how easy it makes sewing.

Great idea, could have been better executed.
As previous reviewers have said, the rotating tip makes things quite fiddly. The magnifying glass and light are a good idea, but rendered less useful by the wobbly tip.

Love this. Easy to use, see well through magnifying glass, light helps you see and best of all it's sharp. It' so good I've had to get them for my friends.

This item works exceedingly well.
I began sewing in 1952 in a Home Ec class in Chapel Hill (NC) High School. After a long hiatus - 35 years - I took it up again when the pandemic hit us, making overalls for 1-3 year olds, just to past the time. (I made my children's clothing when they were those ages.) This seam ripper is ideal and the built-in light makes it so much easier to keep the blade under control.

Léger en main, fragile.La lumière est très agréable pour découdre par contre je ne me sers pas de loupe.
