Flawed design lets this down
Ok, I need this for wall chasing as it can plunge, comes with a dust extraction nozzle and it's quite small. For this purpose I can't fault it, it's easy to use and the dust extraction works very well keeping dust to a minimum. As a handy small plunge saw its less good for the following reasons and would struggle to get 3 stars, even though it's cheap.1. It's very very difficult to line it up on a piece for accurate cutting as there are no marks on the baseplate and it's very difficult to actually see where the blade is cutting to.2. It's too powerful for cutting thin materials making it difficult to keep cutting in a straight line, so it needs a rail or a power adjuster.3. The on off switch is just the dumbest piece of design, even for my very large hands.4. The base plate is too big.I'm sure if I spent my life laying laminate floor I'd be kinder to this. As it stands it's more difficult to use than my 1400w DeWalt plunge saw for accurate cutting. However, if all you want to do is cut clean channels in walls then it's very good.

Good saw, not easy to use one-handed though.
A good saw for the price, as noted by others the "on" switch is stupidly designed, making one-handed operation really hard. If it hadn't been for the included guide rail I possibly would have given three stars, but I find that that's really good and easy to use for cutting for example laminate flooring. Cuts are really clean with the finer-toothed blade but it didn't survive four rooms of laminate laying and now I need a new blade (of course, I should have used the coarsest blade) The only other fault is that there is a strong "kick" when you switch it on, which is a bit annoying since using it one-handed is hard enough...

Essential multi purpose saw.
Great power tool. Ideal for any job involving thin panels. Ply or hardboard in particular. It can cope with so many other small jobs too. Good value capable tool. Only downside is that the body of the saw is a little too large for me to get a good grip on. hence 4 stars.

Excellent value with good accessories. Start and safety release switch could be friendlier, but soon acquired the "knack"
Wished I bought one years ago! Can't fault it and the accessories that come with it are well worthwhile. If I have a criticism it's the operating switch system. I don't have small hands and just about reach the safety release and on switch but soon picked up the knack. A good saw that finds a place in my workshop between larger circular saw and a jig saw.

Buy a tool not a toy
Handling difficult. One handed almost impossible. Heavy and tiring to use. For me a waste of money. The cutting guide is sloppy (lots of free room either side of the saw making real precision cuts more luck than skill.

Excellent tool, and the mitre guide is great for use with a router as well as this saw.Operating the top button, to release the guard, while holding the bottom buttons in is not easy, even with my large hands. However, the solution only costs 1p.

Very high quality tool at best price!
This is a very good quality and best priced circular saw I found on Amazon after searching it on the internet for days and watching number of videos on youtube. It is very heavy duty and well built tool with the guarantee no one else gives. Excellent product.

Used now for lots of jobs and found that this is a fantastic piece of kit. I heard lots of people say that it was hard to use? They need to pay someone to do the work as this is easy to use and does an what it says on the tin.
