I bought this Hisense soundbar to replace my JBL 9.1 ATMOS. I typed that right, I'm replacing a JBL system that is supposed to be quality. The JBL sounds 'muddy' and is just a bass overdose system compared to this U5120GW. I was searching for full, rich sound and that's how the Hisense delivers! Music sounds full, and rich with detailed clarity, movies in 4KHD in ATMOS are thunderous, the surround sound channel separation gives that feeling of being there in the scene. Setup is easy, you don't need to be a tech geek, just mount everything where you want it, plug everything in, and turn on your tv. The rear channel speakers are wireless, so the only item you need to plug in, is the A/C power cords. Subwoofer the same way. The 8 inch sub may not seem like it's powerful compared to all these other 10 inch subs on the market, but I can tell you after owning the JBL, this sub holds its own! It is thunderous and hard hitting where it counts. The 8 inch sub moves faster than the 10's, and the bass result is much fuller, deeper and room filling. - A small note, I setup this bar too close to my TCL flat tv, and is seems to produce more "electrosmog" than the JBL, some TV internet connection was blocked. Crazy! I moved my TV higher and away from the bar, and internet connection was good to go. Outside of that, the sound quality is pleasing to the ears, something I'd never expect from Hisense, but I am tossing out my JBL because Hisense just sounds better and plays my music in high quality. I love everything about this Hisense soundbar. Easy to setup, amazing sound. Great price and value from Amazon.But there is always a but, I did not enjoy my experience with Hisense customer support.To hang the rear surround speakers on the wall you have to replace an existing screw behind the speaker with a supplied mounting screw that fits the included bracket (see Page 12 in Owner’s Manual).For the left speaker the screw swap was flawless. For the right speaker, not so much. The anchor inside the screw hole fell inside the speaker box as I unscrewed the existing screw. That meant that the replacement mounting screw would not attach therefore no wall mounting. The speaker box is very well sealed so opening it to retrieve and possibly reinstall the anchor was a no go. At this point I decided that I would not return the unit to Amazon as defective. Too much hassle for a big unit with a minor fixable detail. So, I called Hisense customer support for what else: support.After complaining that I had mentioned the word screw too many times which was confusing to him, the Rep placed me on hold to consult with a higher up. Long story short, no support. Hisense would not do anything to help with the matter. Not even a “we are very sorry for the inconvenience” thing. I did get a “thank you for being a Hisense customer” though.End of story, I found a slightly bigger diameter screw in my tool box which with the addition of an oversized washer worked perfectly to mount the speaker.I love the soundbar, it's like being in the theater. Hisense customer support, not so much.

I was skeptical going into buying this since it’s fairly new of a model and doesn’t have many reviews. However, it was on sale for $329, and for a system like this that is a really great price.I was upgrading an old refurbished Vizio 5.1.2 soundbar system to this 7.1.2. I have not had any connectivity issues with the rear speakers so far. I haven’t had the mounting issues that everybody else mentioned since I haven’t mounted the rear speakers. The soundbar sounds great, DTS:X and Atmos sound awesome on this, the sub is great too. No major issues after about a month. Bluetooth and AirPlay work nicely. I’ve tried out all the features and have not had any issues so far.My only major complaint is this: oftentimes I find myself having trouble hearing the dialogue in certain movies or shows. Firstly, there is no “direct” or unchanged eq setting. You have to choose from movie, game, or sound mode, etc. for how the audio is mixed, and most of these do not help the dialogue come through. There is also no setting for center channel volume (this is where all dialogue usually comes from). So far I’ve only been able to remedy this by keeping the EQ on either Game mode or AI mode. It’s not deal breaking, but it is annoying. I’ve also tried putting the DTS Dialog Control setting to max in the soundbar to try to fix this but it does not help. Not having a direct or unaltered version of the audio play from the soundbar, and being unable to control how loud the center channel is makes for an occasionally imperfect sound mix when watching movies with an Atmos mix. If it had even one of those two things, I would say this is the best soundbar with Atmos for value and quality out there. If anybody has a fix for this let me know. Otherwise, if you feel as if this won’t cause you too much trouble, I would recommend this system to you too. Certainly a lot better than the other cheap systems you can find elsewhere.

fantastic atmos sound bass pounds the room firmware updates do fall short. So far so really happy with this great sound bar.
